Are diet pills poisonous?
If your product is poisonous or otherwise a scam, place your advertisement here.
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness1 decade agowhat is the most pathetic excuse you have heard lately?
Excuses for gaining weight or not losing weight.
Overheard in the locker room: a woman was complaining about being heavier on the scales over the weekend, but said the scales reading was like that due to the gravitational pull of the recent full moon. Or something along those lines. I don't know how she eats but she's one of those women who does very low intensity "workouts."
So, can anyone top the gravitational pull of the moon as an excuse?
5 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoQuestion for those of you on diet pills?
Do you have blood siblings that are able to donate a kidney or liver? Have you written a will? Are your insurance policies paid for and up to date? Are all your affairs in order?
Don't you think it's a good idea to have everything ready to make things ready and easier for your family to deal with, as you are slowly committing suicide?
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness1 decade agoWhy do people think old folks can't lose fat?
This relates to the Richard Simmons question and some of the pathetic answers regarding age and fat loss. Have any of you seen senior citizens' bodybuilding? A lot of the participants started bodybuilding AFTER retirement. Many were fat and flabby and quite out of shape when starting, only to get themselves into lean, mean competition shape. Sure, it takes a bit of work, but it's not impossible. So why make the excuses for Simmons and anyone else?
25 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoWhen is the "weightlifting will stunt your growth" myth going to die?
There is a lot of research out there that shows the opposite, yet people still go around throwing around that myth. This is probably a major contributor to the obesity epidemic - scare the kiddies into thinking they won't grow if they don't exercise, so just let them sit on their fat piggy a**es and get even fatter.
So, do you think this unfortunate myth will ever die, with all the knowledge that we have? Or are people too stupid to learn?
6 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoShould diet pill manufacturers be forced to test their products on themselves and their family members?
Could this ensure the development of safer products that actually work, rather than the current peddling of dangerous poisons? Or are these people so unethical that they'd kill their own family for a buck?
3 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoDid you know Alli and Xenical cause liver damage?
Yet another diet pill scandal coming. Read about it here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-...
Now that you know, do you think people will stop using it or even asking about it?
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness1 decade agoHave you also noticed the "English" in these illicit pill scams?
It's almost just like the "English" in the Nigerian bank scam e-mails. Why would anyone buy products from spammers who can't even be bothered to do quality control on their own advertising anyway? Are people so self-loathing and desperate for a quick fix?
4 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoWhy do people keep recommending walking for weight loss and fitness?
It doesn't burn many fat calories or calories at all, it doesn't raise metabolism significantly enough to matter, and it doesn't deplete muscle glycogen. People should be spending their time doing something useful for fat burning, but no, they're told to go for a walk. Why? Sure, walking is easier than doing a proper workout, but what does anyone have to gain by deluding people into thinking they're actually getting fit? Or worse yet, building significant muscle mass? Where does this come from?
16 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoIf I created a diet pill...?
If I created a diet pill using dangleberries and touted all its antioxidant properties and how it helps you lose lots of weight, and if I sold it for a very high price under the guise of a free trial, how long would it take before it gets promoted on the Oprah show?
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoDoes it horrify you how many mothers come here asking if their daughters are fat?
It goes along with this question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AoFI0...
I asked "where are the parents" but then again, you have a lot of people coming here asking if their 5'4 95 pound daughter is fat. Sure, it's easy to blame the media, but are parents also part of the blame?
4 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoWhy do women and girls think they can gain a lot of muscle mass in just a week or two?
You know - the "I've been doing lots of cardio and eating healthy just 1000 calories a day for a week and I've gained 2 pounds it's all muscle right" questions. Where do they get this idea that they can gain loads of muscle in such a short amount of time on both a calorie deficit and non muscle building exercise? Where does this come from?
4 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoWhy are guys afraid to train their legs?
Look at the questions about workouts here. Always something about biceps or chest, and all the "how is my routine" questioning shows routines that do not include legs. Why don't you train your legs? Do you all think that having scrawny legs that even a chicken would be ashamed to have is a good look?
5 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoAre fasting and soup diets really worth it?
Is leaving your child without a mother really worth losing those extra pounds/kilo/stone? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1202501/Yo...
7 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoWhy are women and girls so afraid of having muscles?
14 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoWhy does anyone take diet and health advice from Oprah?
She's the textbook example of "doing it completely wrong." Yo-yo diet here and there, drinking lots of soy milk while on thyroid medication (a big no-no), making up all kinds of excuses for being fat...and people still take her seriously.
4 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoIs there anything more evil than sissy squats?
My trainer has me doing sissy squats now. They are rather brutal. Is there anything worse than sissy squats? What and why?
