LoveAlways is seriously misinformed -- several inches of the vas deferens is clipped away and the ends are cauterized. In the US, as an outpatient procedure, it can range between $200 and $600. A friend had it done at a clinic for about $400. I paid $250 at Planned Parenthood, but this was almost 20 years ago so I don't know what it would cost now (and besides, they use a sliding scale based on your income, so it can vary quite a bit).

a lot less than a tubal. if I remember right my hubby's was like $800 and the insurance picked up some.for the man that just can't go through with it I will tell him this my hubby had a stitchless job done[looked like a snake bite] they do it on a friday and you are back to work on monday.please note that the wife will have to drive home and they give you some really good stuff to relax with before hand.My hubby went back to work on a tuesday but only because the day after his job he went to a corn roast and played horseshoes and volleyball[not supposed to do that]and you are not sterile right away.the grossest thing is having to take in his semen sample after a month to check if he if he is shooting blanks or not.

The cost depends on where you live, and what your insurance will cover. Your GU Dr's office can give you a close estimate.

    Clipped?

Do you mean a vasectomy? Because, technically, in a vasectomy, the path the sperm travel is sewn shut, not clipped.
