How can I get rid of refrigerator odor?
Hello im posting this question up because I recently got a Monster Energy Mini Fridge for free, but it really smells horible. Im wondering if any of you know how to get rid of bad odors? It works perfectly and nothing is wrong with it, its just the smell. Hopefully you can help me out thanks.

There's gotta be something in there, if it stinks, the inside is likely plastic of sorts....so give it a good scrub down with vinegar, straight, or dilluted (1-1 ratio) it don't matter...if the stench is really bad, you may need to do full strength :)
And yea, let it air dry out in the sun for a day or two (be sure it doesn't rain! lol)
Then proceed with the baking soda application ;) If the fridge is too small, you could also pour the baking soda into a butter dish, tea light candle dish, or even a cup. Put the dish/cup in the smelly fridge, and put the rest of the box in your other fridge, or even just let it sit out on your window sill, it'll soak up any odors in your room :)
Optional step: Give the fridge a "rub down" of baking soda a day (or couple hours) after letting it air dry out in the sun - basically once it's completely dry, and not damp from the vinegar ;)

Wash it out with bleach and hot water with a little dish soap. Rinse with hot water and baking soda, and then do a follow up rinse with just plain hot water. Put an open box of baking soda in the fridge near the fan. If the odor has already gotten into the vents of the fridge, it will take a while to go away. You can try running the refrigerator on low with the door open for a couple of days to air it out too.
We were out of town when our power went out for a few days during the summer. When we got back, the meat we had in our freezer rotted realllll bad, and when the power came back on, the fans circulated the smell through the freezer and refrigerator. I did everything I described above, and then I even sprinkled baking soda all over the freezer shelves to help absorb the smell out of the plastic (from the rotten juices of the meat that seaped in.) The smell in the circulating air lasted for a couple of months, but it went away eventually.

Place an open box of baking soda inside, and replace it every few months. It absorbs the bad odors, leaving the fridge pretty clean, and works on everything from the old smells to anything new you put in, like onions.

Been doing this for 50 years. First wash the inside with chlorine bleach.Open a box of baking soda and put it in a back area in the fridge. It absorbs odors.Put the box in a zip lock sandwich bag to keep the paper box from getting wet in time. Also if you have any left overs in there try to part with them. If you want those for lunch best to microwave it for about 3 days then put honey on it to improve the taste. The bad smell may be merely the monster energy.

Baking soda or charcoal is a great way to control odors in refrigerators/freezers that are working... won't do much for your problem. What you need to do is neutralize the odor, or more likely replace the odor with a better one. For that, I'd wipe the inside of the refridgerator with pure vanilla extract. Might have to do this a couple of times, but has worked with several of the "science experiments" I've found in mine over the years.

Wash it out with bleach then sit it in the sun for a day. If it still smells, then set a box of baking soda and let it sit for a day or two. We had a cooler that had a horrible smell and the bleach worked really well.

Clean with baking soda then cut an onion in half and leave in fridge. Onion will absorb odors.

Vanilla essence, put on a moisten dish cloth and wipe out the Refrigerator, this will get rid of the smell, you can also put a few drops of essence on a dish and leave in fridge, this will absorb the odour.
