unemployed and need medical care in fort myers florida?

I am new to Fort Myers ,and have not found employment. I have no health insurance. Does anyone have any info on free clinics in this are?, or sliding fee? thank you for any info M

    I truly wish our country would help people like you, but they never have and they never will. One exception is, if you need help, you can go to the emergency room of any hospital, and they're not supposed to turn you away. Good luck to you.

    There ae local health departments for some things, for others there are nurses that can help with minor problems in Walgreen's Drug stores.

    Even if you had medical insurance, you would be paying at least $80 per month ( that is a very low estimate) and still may not use it more then twice a year, so paying for 1 or 2 doctor visits is still cheaper that what you would be paying for insurance! You would not hesitate to get you car to a repair shop if something were wrong. Why not treat your body with the same concern. You can buy a new car - this is the only body you get.
