I Jehovah's witness have a question for my friends and I am wondering what you will say...?

I went to the memorial this year for the first time in many years and I partook of the emblems. I was very shy about it so I put on a firm face and well it makes me kinda jumpy because I know I gotta do that but I get expectant of rejection. A few years back before prison I was told not to partake by a person who said I could not possibly be anointed and he knows anointed people in his family and well they said that you would be older and many years in the truth. I am only 47 and I was 26 when I first partook. I thought about it alot and I had to do it but the people at that hall became enraged . I am not nameing names or putting down all my friends but I wanted you to give me your opinion on How you would feel in this situation. It is the reason I reveal my hope to others now openly I must speak up. Do you think that it is apropriate and I know what you will say but why do so many do this to me. I know why but I wondered if the holy spirit will move you to speak it to me. I have never talked about this openly much less revealed things about it to others I just know that my father is going to heal me of the pain of rejection and disbelief among my own people because he is cleaning his house first. Opinions?

Update:

I did not say i wondered if I was anointed. I know that. I wanted to see the reaction of my revealing what happened in public because you see what is done in secret will be revealed. What do you think I should go to the ones who did this to me and have them treat me the same. Your worried that I will give them a bad name. They have done that to themselves toward god. I forgive them and I understand why they did it and I see here I am, What do you do to me. Because of wanting to cover in front of apostates? I fear not for I carry his name and I am hearing no sympathy but I hear that you think I am attacking my brothers.

Update 2:

If it is your opinion that it is highly unlikely but its not your place to say well you made it your opinion that you did say.

Update 3:

Either that or you think I am breaking unity with the governing body . I assure you that if I write here it is of Importance and down the road you will remember and you will know too why I did this. This loving kindness to me is important. Your harshness is heartbreaking and I have had it in person face to face enough to know that I am reluctant to speak of it face to face for the same reason you just gave me. You did not say anything different than what I have come to expect. I AM persecuted by my own people for something they well know , That I alone know. I do not say you understand now, but you will remember .Have no fear I do not hold these brothers or you responsible for paining my heart. I knew it would happen before it did.

Update 4:

debbo iwas in prison for five years for a crime idid not commit

Update 5:

pretty go where did i say i doubted my anointing?

Update 6:

Hannah b This is loving kindness my god knows you.Hallelujah. The little child that I am is overjoyed to hear any jw say that for noone ever has to my face but I have read it from the . gb Do you know how hard it is to be treated this way after so long of being pained. My god is setting me free from the worst kind of test. Remember whose life I mirror and how the night before he prayed. I Hear what I know to be true and today the daily scripture and now this. It is almost done.

Your relationship with Jehovah is something that is between you & Jehovah, it does not matter what anyone else thinks about it. Jehovah's spirit bears witness with ones that are spiritual adopted by Jehovah himself.

Rev 7:1-4 says that Armageddon will not start until all have been sealed, Armageddon(winds of destruction) has not started yet, so just maybe all all not yet sealed? Rev 6:11 says they are told to rest until the number has been filled, & 1 Thess 4:15-17(?) from memory says that right before Armageddon Jesus will call with an arch angels voice & all those in the grave will rise first, then those living will be gathered ALONG with them & then they will all TOGETHER ascend into the heavens.

May 1st Watchtower, 2007, question from the readers tell us that NO ONE CAN tell who or who is not of this anointed class.

The Bible tells us that Jehovah is sifting the nations & all sorts of men/women will be called.

Those that think they can tell are saying they know Jehovah's thoughts on who he will adopt as his spiritual sons, they put themselves in a very bad light when they suggest they know Jehovah thoughts on this matter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are of the anointed, you would be able to explain to the brothers, at least in a small sense, how the "spirit bears witness".

There is no doubt. You will know the SECOND it happens, and you will recognize what it is.

It is not an accumulative understanding. You will be able to name the day, hour, and what you were doing when you knew.

There is a period of time of "realization" of all that is involved. That may take weeks or months. But it is more understanding what is truly involved and what the scriptures say on the matter.

Age really has nothing to do with it. I know of some that are in their thirties. And years ago, I knew a brother who was 22 when he became of the anointed.

But the subject matter of some of your questions is contrary to the Bible - as my email to you stated. If you are making such statements openly in the congregation, I could see why brothers and sisters would react as they do.

An anointed one is an "ambassador substituting for Christ". What did Christ's life center around? Preaching and teaching. And encouraging others to do the same.

It is not to be a "martyr". Remember what Paul said - If we live, we live to Jehovah, if we die, we die to Jehovah.

NOW is the time to LIVE for Jehovah. Death will come later.

You say your anointed, no doubt in your mind,, then I will accept that and go from there. That's between you and Jehovah, any human to say otherwise is claiming authority they do not have. On the other hand your story is kind of screwy, so don't hold a grudge when some doubt it. You have to admit that. I have known several of the anointed over the years, and, no offense, none like you.

Well, your one of Christs brothers. Rely on the holy spirit for strength. Don't be bothered with what others say or do, they will have to answer to Jehovah for that. Do what Jehovah would expect you to do as one of His representatives on earth during the last days. Be exemplary in the ministry, in commenting at meetings, in your teaching, in your conduct, and every aspect of your life. All the anointed ones I have known were very mature spiritually, as well as emotionally. They knew their place in Jehovah's arrangements, their role as kings and priests with Christ in heaven, and to the extent possible with human imperfection, they acted the role now. And, they were the most humble people I have ever known.

Spiritually and emotionally mature. Think about it.

Partaking of the emblems is a very serious. They are only to be taken by the anointed. The great crowd are only observers of what Jesus commissioned his follows to do.

You must speak up to the elders in the congregation of what you have been doing.

You should have nothing to prove to anyone apart from Jehovah, we are in the truth to serve Jehovah not man!

It's not a good idea asking brothers and sisters this question on here. Personally i would delete the question, it's personal and the reality is, you could stumble someone.

Well my Sister, as we all know it is not our position nor right to judge ANYONE who partakes. It is serious thing, and those who do partake know (or should know) the sacred significance of their partaking. Normally the Annointed are somewhat older, so I can see why you may have received some unwanted reactions. However, at the end of the day, it is between you and the Holy Spirit. But as a member of the Annointed you would be even more encouraged to be Spiritually mature and display the fruitages of the spirit. (Gal. 5:22) So it would only be expected that you show them (those who offended you) forgiveness and patience.

I will say however, that if you 'already know' how some would respond to this question - and you from previous experience knew this response would be in the way of "harshness" and be "heartbreaking"....Why, my dear sister are you asking it? What is the objective of this question, if you already know what the response will be?

How would I feel? Well from my understanding of the Annointed, and thinking about the few Annointed that I have had the priviledge of knowing, I would not be concerned with How it made me feel. Regardless of WHAT people do or say, in or out the Truth it would not negate the fact of a person being Annointed or not. Sure, it must be frustrating and discouraging, but you are what you are. Your main concern would likely be maintaining a high level of spirituality, setting a good example, and being zealous in the ministry.

But just taking a VERY brief look at some of your other questions, I can not be suprised if some in your congregation were troubled at seeing you partake, because some of your questions do not seem to reflect the mind set of the Annointed.

For example, in one of SEVERAL questions you asked about demons, you said, "I am a christian who specializes in demonic opression and possesion". Well, again I cannot judge, nor do I want to, but I know of NO Annointed, nor ANY mature Brother or Sister for that matter that 'specializes' in demonic oppression. But maybe I'm just misinterpreting what you said.

But then you also said, "ok demons have names they made for themselves ok and the former names were all godly like Ijah or elijah ok". First, How do you know this? The Bible only gives certain names in regards to Angels like Micheal and Gabrielle, and in regards to demons in only speaks of certain names like, Satan, Beelzebub, Legion etc. You said, 'ljah'..........But my Sister, Is that not the name YOU decided to use for your user name?? That in itself is somewhat concerning. Again, your questions and the interest they could reflect seem to disqualify you as being of the Annointed, or at the VERY least seem to raise a flag. Again, it is not my decision to make whether or not you are Annointed or not. But regardless of if you are or not, we ALL should be VERY careful about our interest, especially if they reflect some inclination toward Demons and their activities.

Again, I'm not sure what your intention was in asking this question, let alone asking it on Y/A. But I hope you find what you are looking for so long as that is peace with your Brothers and Sisters and peace with Jehovah God.

    Sincerly,

Source(s): Bible Ishvarlan noticed the exact same quote I did. So perhaps I did not misinterpret that wrong after all. Edit: Not to 'beat a dead horse' but in yet another one of your answers you said, that you knew you were given knowledge of your annointed at your baptism??? Well, my dead Sister baptism is the FIRST step, not the last step. So it would be highly unlikely and perpetually improbable that you were annointed when you were baptised. Jesus did receive Holy Spirit at his baptism, but this does not apply to all those who get baptised. I was baptised in 99' and when I came up, the only thing that happened was water ran into my eye, and someone took a picture, no instantaneous insight. My dear sister I recommend that you stay close to your local congregation, accept any recommened help, and share your concern with the local elders. Jehovah understands what we have been through, and he will never overlook a faithful one. So just stick close to Jehovah my dear sister and I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you in the new system.

    Dear Ijah,

I am not answering this question to give you my opinion one way or the other about whether or not you are truly anointed. I agree with many of the things Kerika said in her answer, and some of the things others have said in their answers.

However, I think what is at the root of your question is why you were treated in an uncaring fashion. The answer to that is that we are imperfect, plain and simple. Regardless of whether or not we think someone is acting correctly, or is acting sane, we as Jehovah's Witnesses should be kind. Who knows what we ourselves will have to deal with before this system is over?

That being said, I also know that the elders have a weighty responsibility and sometimes when we are confronted about something we are already a little sensitive about, we can take things more personally than we might otherwise.

Also, I do have to say this, but I say it out of love and sincerity. Based on what you've said at the end of this answer, in your other answers, and my personal experience with certain ones I have known in my life who suffer from mental illnesses, I really believe that you need help. You have been homeless up until just recently, am I right? And you feel like you are being plagued by the demons and have special insight? And you've been diagnosed in the past with a mental illness? If someone you loved fit that description, what would you tell them? What do you think Jehovah would want someone to tell them?

Please get help. With certain illnesses, you can start to feel all of those things you have mentioned, and your mind may even tell you that you are sane, but those are all symptoms of mental decompensation. I know you know that term. Other medications may not have worked for you in the past, but they come out with new ones all the time, and you desperately need some relief.

Ones who have responded rudely I'm sure do not have family members with the same sorts of illnesses. Be patient with them. I have a family member with a very severe mental illness, and I know that medication can make a huge difference, but there are adjustments that need to be made from time to time and stress complicates the effects. I know you have had a great deal of stress lately, and you might be wishing for a way out of this world. Please rely on Jehovah for strength, knowing that He does see you, and care, and things will get better. He would not want you to ignore sound advice, either. He would want you to get medical attention.

Are you anointed? I don't know. That is between you and Jehovah. We each have a hope. What I do know is that you do have the hope of everlasting life, in a peaceful place, where there is no more illness, and no more violence. I am sure you have seen your fill of both. However, we are not to take things into our own hands. Jehovah will give you the strength you need to continue.

Please, dear sister, take heart in the fact you are loved, but also know that you need to love yourself. Please get to a hospital. I am worried about you.

    Aga'pe

Ijah, I'm sorry to hear of any feelings of rejection you may have had. I'm sorry about any fellow worshipers that may have mistreated you. Whether we believe one is anointed or not is irrelevant to our treatment of them. We are even to treat those who do not share our faith well. We are constantly urged to 'clothe ourselves with compassion'. You will most likely not feel a negative vibe from mature Christians. Those are the gossipy, immature type who are reacting angrily. I have studied articles that have said we are not to look down on those who partake and that it's between them and Jehovah.

Please read the 2007 May 1st Questions from readers. It says in part: How should a person be viewed who has determined in his heart that he is now anointed and begins to partake of the emblems at the Memorial? He should not be judged. The matter is between him and Jehovah. (Romans 14:12) However, genuine anointed Christians do not demand special attention. They do not believe that their being of the anointed gives them special “insights,” beyond what even some experienced members of the great crowd may have. They do not believe that they necessarily have more holy spirit than their companions of the other sheep have; nor do they expect special treatment or claim that their partaking of the emblems places them above the appointed elders in the congregation. They humbly remember that some anointed men in the first century did not qualify to serve as elders or ministerial servants. (1 Timothy 3:1-10, 12, 13; Titus 1:5-9; James 3:1) SOME ANOINTED CHRISTIANS WERE EVEN SPIRITUALLY WEAK. (1 Thessalonians 5:14) And sisters, although anointed, did not teach in the congregation.—1 Timothy 2:11, 12.

And yes, an anointed person can miss meetings and still be anointed. Paul was talking to anointed ones at Hebrews 10:24, 25, some of whom were "forsaking" meetings. Of course, practicers of sin or ones who remain inactive of the great crowd or anointed will miss out on everlasting life. But the Christian Greek scriptures show that anointed ones have their spiritual ups and downs just like the other sheep. I don't know why everyone expects members of the anointed to be perfect. People tend to treat Bethelites and those serving in special capacities like this as well, knowing from the fact that some of these ones have confided. Of course they will be held to a higher standard by some, but perfect is a whole other story.

All I can say is pray, read the bible, read specific articles, and talk to your congregation elders or other mature christians because people on the internet, including some who claim to be witnesses can be very discouraging. If you think it's bad where you are, it's even worse on the internet. Asking here why you are treated bad, may very well lead to more discouragement.

Ultimately, the matter is between you and Jehovah. When people try to gossip with me about who in my area is anointed or not, I cut them off like nobody's business. It is a totally inappropriate matter to discuss idly. If someone does want to help, they would go through the proper channels and not gossip.

    Agape and warm Christian love.

P.S. Please don't dabble in the occult! Seek help. Read James 5:14 and apply.

Edit: I agree with what יהוה είναι ευχάριστος said, as well as some others. She expressed it very lovingly. I have wondered if you need some relief from anxiety and illness. I lovingly think you should get proper professional help. Please speak with a psychiatrist. Don't be ashamed. There is nothing wrong with a check up.

i know you said you have no doubt. i just wanted to tell of an experience i had. several years ago when i was a young boy, i had the privilege to speak with brother Daniel Sydlik of the governing body. i remember i asked him two questions.

    1. how did he know he was anointed?

    2. was he excited he was going to meet Jehovah face to face?

i'll never forget his straightforward yet simple answers, so my young brain could understand. to answer my first question he said, "how do you know you're a boy, besides the obvious? is there any question in your mind that you're a young boy? do you need to be reassured or reminded that you are on a regular basis? we'll that's how it is knowing we have the heavenly hope, Jehovah's spirit provides us no doubt in our minds what so ever.

and the answer to my second question was short and sweet. "little brother i'm excited just to be alive and have the privilege to serve Jehovah right now"! needless to say those answers were permanently burned into my memory!

that impressed upon me that even though they have the heavenly hope, they're (the anointed) in no hurry to die, or leave their life here on earth.

it's not mine or any other persons on Y!As (even though i know the elders ask the partaker a series of questions) to determine whether someone is anointed or not.

with that being said i'm highly suspect of any person claiming to be, coming on a forum (or any forum) like this airing matters of such importance for all to hear.

also a few years ago there was a very young (25 or 26) brother in one of our local congregations who also partook, no problem. but my big question was, why is this brother who's claiming to be of the anointed choosing a career as a rap music producer? it just doesn't add up.

so to answer your question, maybe ones have seen things in your life or the choices you make, as red flags. like i said before in NO WAY do i or anyone else wanna be guilty of questioning a serious matter such as Jehovah's choice of the bridal class!

remember as long as fellow brothers and sisters are in this sinful system of things, we're always going to have hang ups. and doubt, is unfortunately one of those hang ups. just ask thomas when you get to heaven. agape sister!

I also had the gift of prophecy and let me tell you something... you CANNOT be a prophet if you are afraid of social rejection... God does not reveal his word to people who are trying to please man rather than God. I know 18 year old children who have no fear of social rejection and do not care what other people think. You are 47, so how does that make you mature? Maturity has nothing to do with age.

AS well... I didn't understand a single word that you said... NOT A SINGLE WORD!!! Why don't you make sense instead of saying in 40 lines what you could have said in 3 sentences? The bible says LET YOUR WORDS BE FEW!!! As well social rejection is different from persecution.

Me, I got locked in a psychiatric ward where they gave me hallucigenics and I experienced ordinary fear multiplied 200 times... under the influence of drugs. THAT is persecution.

If you have any doubts you are not of the anointed. If you have to ask others it is not the right thing for you to do.

One sister in Louisiana partook for years..then she married again and stopped partaking..she still is a pioneer and devotes her time to Jehovah but is of the earthly hope now.
