How exactly did Jesus Christ save us from our sins?

READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE ANSWERING!!!!!!

Because we are all still going to be punished for our sins aren't we... we will go to hell.. So therefore Jesus saved none of us from our sins because we will still be punished. And he didn't even reinforce morals because everyone was a Jew then anyway and Christians and Jews have similar morals...

So how the hell did Christ save ANYONE?!?!?!?!

Btw, I'm not an atheist and not trying to insult, I just want to know. DON'T COPY OUT ANY VERSES FROM THE BIBLE that tells me nothing.

They say Jesus was the last lamb to be sacrificed. He was supposedly Gods son on earth and his blood shed would set us free. Washing our sins away.

I have something you might find interesting. I kind of figured along the same lines as you did when I was reading the bible. I read over John 3:16 a few times and found that it just did not make any sense. As there are other parts of the bible that contradict it. Okay so then I thought, what do I think it should be. I came to the conclusion it would make more sense that Jesus was telling his disciples to trust him, not us obviously because he was talking to them. Then I looked up alternate translations to John 3:16. This one is straight from Wikipedia.

This could be translated literally as:

For in this way God loved the world: that he gave the unique son, so that all the ones trusting in him would not perish, but have eternal life.

More like trusting him, and believing his teachings were the truth. Not believing that he existed, because his disciples already knew that.

I've found it a few other places too. I'm not saying I/you are right about this. I just believe that Jesus was a regular person. Yet I'm still a Christian, go figure.

Prior to the crucifixion sacrifices had to be made for sins. If you did something bad or wrong, you had to kill a lamb or a dove or whatever kind of animal so the blood sacrifice woud be offered to god for forgiveness of sins. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice. He died for us - people no longer had to offer animals as a sacrifice. The old covenant given to moses was now replaced with a new covenant from Jesus Christ and his work on the cross that was done for us. He didn't have to do it, infact, he asked if there was any other way- I thank him for his obedience to his father God the creator and for loving me so much to go through with it. He did it even though he knew people would reject him, he knew you would send this email curse words and all to find out what he did -whether you receive him or not. God the father says that anyone who believes in what his only son did on the cross will be washed in that blood that was shed on the cross at Calvary and your sins will be forgiven (past, present and future) and you will go to heaven to live for eternity once he returns. Those who reject him,(and he knows who those people are), will be sent to live with their father the devil for eternity. The devils residence is in the lake of fire that we call Hell. He will return when everyone has had an opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and either accept it or reject it. No one knows when that date will be so as believers, we just try and live right keeping God first, active in ministry (using our spiritual gifts to do our part in saving a soul), and available to be used by him in whatever way we can.

The scripture is what is going to speak to you. People do that because he is the one that can plead his case better than anyone else. He is the only one that knows you and all about you - his word speaks and is living that's why people copy and paste it to answer you but you have to believe he is who he says he is in order to believe his word.

Have you ever asked God to prove to you he's real? Ask him, he'll do it. Tell him, you're struggling with it and you really want to know. Believe he'll respond - he will. He puts a knowledge of himself in every person, it's up to every person to either acknowledge it and accept him or deny him.

    Be blessed

KP- JESUS IS FAR FROM A "REGULAR PERSON". ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU'RE A CHRISTIAN?????

It is quite simple. Jesus gave his own life and suffered unimaginable punishment and pain in our place. So you see the penalty of our sins have already been payed. This payment has not been forced upon us. But has been left for us to take or reject. The choice is ours.

It puzzles me why so many reject such a gift. It is the same if a person on death row rejected an offer made from someone else to die in their place and the condemned could go free.

    God bless

    Dear friend Micheal John Perriway-Smith,

By submitting himself obediently even to the death in the Garden of Gethsamane and being crucified on the Cross at Calvary to save human beings in the family of mankind into generations from the wrath as a pleasing sacrifice to God the Heavenly Father.

If we as human beings in our lifetime on the earth before passing death believe and accept the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, witness the death and resurrection of Lord Jesus after growing up in age through water baptism and come together as a united family to share the bread and red grape fruit juice regularly and live righteously in the sight of God the Heavenly Father with the guidance of the Holy Spirit of God, we will get the gift of Eternal Life in the Holy Eternal Kingdom of Heaven when Jesus comes as the King of kings and Lord of lords in Power and Glory.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. (Holy Bible 2 Corinthians 5:10)

By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) the son of Mary will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind justly (as a Just ruler);... Texts Bukhari Book #55, Hadith #657

God bless you in Christ Jesus mighty name.

Jesus Christ saved "some" of mankind from sin, not every single human being that has ever lived.

Each sin that ever comes into existence, past, present or future must be judged and accounted for because God is perfectly just in His righteousness. The wages of sin is death and not just physical death but eternal death under damnation. Every sin has an equal and opposite punishment that is due. God is perfectly just in rewarding sin accordingly.

So for instance, if Christ saved me from my sins it also means He took the guilt of all the sins I would commit from my birth to death and placed that guilt upon Himself when He was crucified. It means that He suffered equivalent amount of suffering under God's wrath in damnation in my place as my perfect substitute for sin. This all occurred during the time of the crucifixion and not only that but He suffered an equivalent amount of suffering for all those He *chose* to save by spending an eternity under God's wrath for their sins as well.

Thus since the payment for sin has been satisfied through Christ, God can no longer judge us for any sin we commit in our life because the price has already been paid for. For all those who have been chosen by God what it means is that they will eventually come to saving faith in Christ sometime during their lifetime and will be regenerated in spirit and made alive in Christ.

Christ did not save us from our sins. Sin is the act of breaking a law and we are still appointing, electing, or being forced at gunpoint to follow those who write laws and thereby create sinners.

Christ cannot save anyone from the sin they create. It is called "sin by stupidity."

Jesus will not save anyone from their sins. It is only fair that everyone should be judged according to their own deeds.

Do you know what the ultimate punishment for sin is??? It's death. Who has the authority to stop death except the one who was NOT stopped by death? You see only God has power over death and therefore only the creator has the power to cleanse sin which causes death.
