The Quran is not a political system that it can be liberal or conservative. As for the bible, there exists a multitude variants of it, which have been tampered with. Some of it's verses have also been removed. http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=A8EA31F122...
Some of the Quran's tenets are;
1. God’s Sole Right to Worship - The reason behind God’s right to the worship we offer in exclusion to others, the ultimate purpose behind such worship, and a warning against worshiping others along with or in exclusion to God.
2. A Messenger to Entire Humanity - The Muslim sacred scripture, namely the Quran, lovingly invites people to accept the man whom God chose to deliver His final message to them: Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him.
3. The Common Origin of Humanity - The Quran, the Muslim sacred scripture, informs humanity of their common origins from Adam and Eve.
4. Piety and Wickedness -An encouragement by God to humanity to eat of the pure things He created, and a warning against following the various paths of evil.
As for what attracted me to remain in this faith, it is the fact that our deeds, and sins count for something when we die alongside our faith. We don't go to heaven by submitting to God alone, but also by doing good deeds. On the day of judgment, our deeds and sins will be measured, and if our deeds outweighs our sins, we go to heaven. If not, we spend a certain time in hell (depends from person to person), until we are done being punished, and then sent to heaven. My friend once said that, Allah can forgive anyone who did him wrong, but when you do your fellow man wrong, he will punish that person. It is said, that anyone with an atom of faith will eventually go to heaven.
“O mankind, worship your Lord who has created you and those before you, that you may become righteous. He Who has made the earth a resting-place for you and the sky a canopy, and has sent down water from the sky and thereby brought forth fruits for your sustenance. Do not, then, claim that there is any power that could rival God, when you know.” (Quran 2:21-22)

Yes, I believe the Quran is more liberal than the Bible. The basic tenets in the Quran is that God is one, nothing should be attributed to Him, and that Prophet Muhammed(pbuh) was the final Prophet. It reads more like a code of conduct for your life, than just stories. But there are stories in there as well, of other Prophets.
I remain a Muslim because, so far, there is no better religion that Islam. It's perfect.
To the posters who claim the Quran is violent, please read it before making such idiotic claims. And I mean ALL of it, not a few verses that you heard of from sources like "Fitna".

I'm Muslim and the Qua'ran has nothing to do with war or destruction
All we want is peace
But people really don't comprehend that
Look at it this way
Americans and other races say that we are terrorists and the only terrorists
Have you watched the news lately?
Do you see only Muslims doing crimes and being bad on the street?
All the races in the world every single one of them even the Christians have terrorists in them
Muslim's are not the only terrorists am i right?
We stick to Qua'ran to follow the way of Allah which means god in Arabic if you didn't know that
I'm tired of people looking at me twice cause they know I'm Muslim it's just ridiculous
And I'm not going to say that the Qua'ran is more liberal than the bible because I'm not like that
Everyone has they're own beliefs and I respect that

The Five Basic Tenets: a million-There is best "one God", Allah, author of the entire universe, who is simply, compassionate, and merciful. The absolute cohesion and vigor is living in God. Creator of lifestyles and loss of life, the advisor to righteous, the buddy and protector of the ill and the deficient. He chastises ceaselessly the infidels to Hell, and he rewards the devoted with everlasting Heaven. two- "Muhammad", used to be the final of the excellent prophets. Jewish prophets and Jesus have been his predecessors. three- The "Quran", used to be the final of the sacred books, which incorporate additionally the Torah, Psalms, and Gospels of Jesus. four- "Life on Earth", is a scan and just a education for the everlasting lifestyles to come back. the "devoted" are folks that adore Allah, compliment the Prophet Muhammad, obey the Quran doing well deeds, and satisfy the five pillars of Islam. The Quran forbids illustration of human and animal figures. It denounces usury, video games of risk, alcohol, beef... "pleasure" is a cardinal sin. five- The "Final Judgment": The devoted will cross to everlasting Heaven, and the infidels to everlasting Hell, with the vividly rewards and punishments recorded within the Koran. I WOULD SAY THT IF SOMEONE WANTS TO KNOE THE IMPORTANCE OF THE QUARAN THEN HE SHOULD LEARN ND READ IT !

The Quran is what it is, you can't change the word of Allah just to suit the ways of the times and just because non-muslims don't like our rules. That's for the christians to do with all there different forms of the bible. They change it to what suits them, not what God wants you to do. There is not one christian that is a true christian. For one, even in the bible it says to not eat pork, have pre marital sex, drink, even about dressing modestly. yet pretty much all of them do all of those things, so how can they even call themselves christians? Oh ya I forgot, Jesus died for their sins right?

in Sunni Islam they follow the 5 pillars of faith
Shahādah - Profession of faith (saying there is only one god)
Ṣalāt - Prayers (praying 5 times a day)
Zakāh - Paying of alms (giving to the poor)
Ṣawm - Fasting during Ramadan
Hajj - Pilgrimage to Mecca

i think that the Quran and the Bible shouldn't be discussed in a liberal way together as they are also very different in some way

Be kind to your Parents and don't consume orphan's and other person's property. Give zakaat- alms to the poor and peace is better than war!! Be good to others and worship no idols, in any form!! etc...

The question is not whether it is more liberal or not, but it is whether God's final word to humanity. It says it is. You need to read it for yourself to know.
