Why do you believe Scorpios are self-absorbed and distrusting?

I've dated a few of these beings, most recently the man I have 1 child and one on the way. His selfish and deceptive personality was always the cause of our problems and the reason why we are still not working out, despite the fact that we have another child on the way. When finding out that I was pregnant, he thought maybe terminating the pregnancy was the better option if I wasn't going to take him back. WHAT? Kill a child because I don't want him because he lies constantly? If that's not selfish...what is. Don't get me wrong, yes he has some good in him, but a lot of what he does is done because of what he gets in return for these good deeds. He acts as though he has the utmost respect for his parents, but then turns around and disrespects them behind their backs as well. We once had a fight because I disagreed with his friend saying his mom was performing sexual acts on him...joke or not, I felt it was very disrespectful n bith of their parts, and should have been addressed, but he saw nothing wrong with his friend talking this way about his own mom! I could write a book on these very selfish, very sneaky people. Don't turn your backs on them, and sleep with one eye open!

Im a Scorpio ...Im not self absorbed but to a certain degree Im not completely trusting...

I suppose I dont understand how you assume this patient of yours is self absorbed unless you believe his illnesses are somatic but he is being prescribed medicine and assigned a nurse so I could only assume there is serious debilitating illness here. Myself I take 5 medications a day to keep my heart beating. I have HLHS. I would hate for someone to look through my medicine cabinet and assume I was self absorbed because of the content of it.

Scorpios by nature are a little secretive because we have parts of ourselves that are personal. But being personal doesn't mean that we're dishonest. In fact scorpio's appreciate honestly, and openness.

And scorpio's are far from self-absorbed. Scorpio's love to give, they love to help and be powerful and important, but they're also confident. You must be careful to never demand from a scorpio though, we don't like to be ordered around. But if given the chance, we will offer what we have.

It seems to me like you've had your ego bruised by a scorpio.

I do not know any Scorpios who are honestly Self absorbed and distrusting.. However I know why many scorpios would come off as that (I know from experience)

Scorpios Because some are deep down afraid of judgement

Are very secretive and come off as cold and distrusting people,

But many of them had difficult experiences in life that have forced them to be virtual introverted loners.. once you really get too know them though they are Much Much better..

They are also usually very sexy people and.. they know they are Sexy, Smart, and consider themselves superior.. while it may come off as arrogant and vain... Its more of ALOT (bordering too much) Confidence in their superiority, sometimes a good thing that can make many enemies.

I know alot of scorpios and believe me they are no peice of cake...

HOWEVER

They are truly arent Self absobred and distrusting

just Seretive and Confident (among other things)

They're really Awesome people if you get to know them and i know from personal experience.. you may have your ocasional fallouts but

all in all they are the kind of people you will want around.

What they're not! I'm a Scorpio and I don't think I am self absorbed or distrusting. I care about other people and I'm very trustworthy!

The most self-absorbed sign is Aries. It is the first sign. The sign of self. Maybe your Scorpio had Aries Rising sign. (Your rising sign is your mask. Its how other people see you).

actually i knew one in high school years ago and he was very sweet, kind, sexy, strong, sensitive, and very gentlemanly. how ever, he liked me ...a lot .... and being Aquarius and not very confident nor very trusting (had a lot of issues in past) i let that one (arrrrg!) go. well, i now have a second chance at a man who is scorpio and he is very shy about himself, sensual, sweet, gentlemanly, and kind. He has been through a lot. he has trust issues. but i hope to find a way to get him to trust me. well, i am Aquarius, and yet i don't act as much as one. maybe this helps.

Because we see the shadow side of everyone... you would have trust issues if you could see other people's potential dark side too!

As for being self-absorbed, I'm too busy with myself to care :P

umm no. scorpios have their good traits and bad traits, just like all the zodiacs. you might think that someone YOU hate, thats a scorpio, well it doesnt mean all scorpios r bad.
