My cat is scared of the hallway bathroom? I think... Please help!?
Last night for some reason.. he SPRINTS past the hallway bathroom into my room. He sayed in my room all night and he's scared to death to go out..but he came out this morning and went to the bathroom.. but i don't think he ate anything. And the thing is... he's lived here for almost 4 years!
Is there anything I can do to "un-scare" him?

well most cats are scared of the bathroom because its full of water.
I bath my cats and they are terrified but to get them un-scared afterwards, I hold them in my arms (1 at a time obv lol) and just walk in and hold them and talk to them and stroke them and the after a few mins come back out and then do it again about 5 times and then go in the bathroom and call him in and sit in there with some ham or what ever his favourite treat is and and wait for him to come in and then when he does praise and and cuddle him :)
Hope this helps xx

Could there have been something scary in there? Perhaps he smelled the scent of a dog or some anial/person/plant etc he doesn't like? Or if you've recently cleaned it he might not like the smell of the detergent.
