If you contact animal control they will have a special long-handled grasping tool that they use to reach animals from a distance. It has a little loop on it and it goes around the animal's neck. It is safe and effective, even if you would prefer to get the kitten out in a more gentle fashion. But a scared kitten is not going to just come out. And all the ruckus of trying to get it to come out is likely to scare it further back.
They will be able to use this to reach far back into the pipe.
When the kitten is pulled out, they will most likely give you the option of keeping it if you like. It will most likely require a trip to the vet if it hasn't been eating.
Good luck - and keep us posted!

You need to call the ASPCA, animal control, or the fire department and do it NOW!! If this poor kitten dies from dehydration it won't matter whether you get to keep her or not. I'm sure that if you call someone and tell them that your kitten is stuck in a drain pipe they will help you get her out. If she is healthy enough to stay with you, I'm sure they will let you keep her. However, she may need vet care if she has been in there for a while.

You can try humane society but I wouldn't. Call your local animal control you can find a phone number in the phone book or you can google it. If animal control won't help call anyone specializing in wildlife removal. The important thing is whether you get it back or not it needs to be rushed to a vet for emergency fluids it may die without liquids and it being summer you're running out of time.

rspca now. they will let u keep the kitten as they are used to coming across all kinds of animals getting themselves into all kinds of comprimising places an are expersts in freeing them. only an irresponsable owner would of waited this long sorry to say should of been ur first instinct once u realised u couldnt get the poor kitty out

I would call them and ask. If you are putting dry food in there it might now be a strong enough smell, i would try canned food... after you have called the humane society or even the pound. i would also listen to make sure she is alive. i hope all goes well.
