Opinions on not telling the whole truth?
Is it better not to tell the truth to someone if you think it would cause an upset in your relationship, or is it better to tell the truth and be honest? Im dealing with a problem like this now..a friend said that they didnt want to tell me something because it would possibly mess up our relationship...I say (now that I found out anyway) that withholding truth is as bad as lying and its not being honest with the other person. Apparently, my friend has a different idea...I suppose something like if you dont directly ask, then I wont bother to tell...dont want to upset the apple cart.
true point about white lie concerning baby..however, as far as rapist?? Im thinking if you lied he'd find out she wasnt under the bed or in the closet...and eventually find her anyway, so the point in lying is just as worthless as telling the truth..and by lying, you might get killed right before he rapes grandma, cuz you pissed him off..such a dilemma...

well truth has to come forward some or the other time.ur friend told u that there is something that would mess up ur relationship then whats the difference between telling and not telling as ur friend had already told u that there is something wrong and ur already tensed.
