Skeptics of man-made global warming - name 3 things you do that are pro-environment?

I drive a Toyota Corolla (low gas mileage) (though, this is a big moneysaver)

I shut off the lights and computer when I leave my apartment (though, this is a small moneysaver)

I don't use A/C in the apartment (though, I don't have to) and use it in the car only if the alternative is showing up soaking wet to a meeting

I can't walk past things on the beach or in the bush (forest) that don't belong there without picking them up... plastic, metal, glass.

Are you driving the toyota corolla I sold five years ago? It was white and the seats were wearing out a bit.

It doesn't matter what you drive, but how much you drive it. Not to many eco nuts can understand that concept. I have just about everything on my house wired to timers or a intelligent system . So it doesn't really mean much as far as (energy star) ratings go. Landscaping on the south side provides a 15-20 degree variance during the seasons concerning heating and cooling (greatest savings by far). I grow my own veggies and fruit, something most people will not try because it's (labor intensive). I built a green house and capture rain water in barrels, and use that same principle (passive energy) along with a compost(biomass) system to heat during cooler months. I live in a subdivision but could/do supply enough organic crops for three households. I'm still waiting for an (alarmist) to tell me how to do it better. Most responses I received are simply ultimatums to something I've already surpassed.

I have been trying to reduce my wear and tear on the earth as a whole for years now. By doing this:

I have reduced my driving (I own a Honda) to only school & work. I try to walk everywhere else. Works nice, I live close to almost everything- plus its good exercise!

Planting trees & plants, which promotes oxygen and takes in carbon.

Making my household cleaners from arm & hammer or just cleaning other things around the house with good ol' water.

Using the least amounts of water as possible. Reusing water from taking shower with a bucket in the shower to water my plants around the house.

Recycling everything possible- like cans & bottles, cardboard & tree clipings. Taking walks and cleaning nature up from other horrible litter bugs.

Even though this seems very small, I think if we can get more and more people joining in on this beneficial cause we all could accomplish something huge by doing this.

Anyone's other ideas would be terrific, plus we could all learn some new ideas that we all could adjust our living too!

I mention always April the 28th 1975 when global cooling was announced with the same arguments that are used now to tell the famous lie of man-made global warming. (Thou will not.....)

I mention always that Margaret Thatcher has put global warming on the world political agenda and that eco- and environmental fundamentalists has taken this Thatcher opportunity to tell around that it is man made.

I tell and write everywhere that man-made global warming is a hypothesis that must be tested in stead of taken as proof.

"The" environment does not exist. Environment changes as men move from one place to the other. It is a political affair that is used to break the financial and economic power of the USA. That is why in 1997 when Al Gore signed the Kyoto treaty the Senate of the USA rejected the Kyoto treaty 95 contra 0 and Bill Clinton never brought into the Senate.

Environment where you live can be managed without interference of politicians and eco- and environmental fundamentalists.

I drive a Yaris though I actually bought it from my sister as a favor to her when she went to Japan. I have grown to like it. It is cheap and easy to drive. I don't think my driving it is keeping the climate cool however.

I clean up oil and gasoline spills for a living. I help to protect the groundwater. It is required by regulators but protecting groundwater is a worthy goal. It has become very valuable here in So Cal.

I grew up in the wilderness. I treat animals almost as if they are sacred. I would not harm any animal, particularly wild ones. I love the wilderness, and want it protected. I just don't want those who don't know the difference between a Buteo jamaicensis and a Bubo virginianus to tell me where I can and can't go and what I can or can't do.

I grow much of my own food. I live in a super-insulated house and I heat with biodiesel. I recycle several hundred pounds if metal every year and reuse many square feet of old window glass. I don't do these things for the environment. I do them for my cash flow. Any way I help the environment is secondary.

Recycle at the Grocery store, they have machines, I get money from the cashier.

I use aerosol only in the house, unless it's spray paint of course.

And I only turn all the lights on at night, which I have a 18 globe crystal chandelier.

    I do my part.

I practice all tenets of the Luddites...

    Just kidding.

I study plant physiology and the *potential* impacts the hypothetical droughts/over precipitation *might* have on the forests of the Pacific Northwest.

I recycle everything I can and re-purpose/renew old furniture.

I enjoy fishing and off-roading and whenever I go to do either of these activities (quite often) I bring back any trash I find.

Lights go off as much as possible, A/C is used as little as possible, and I walk anywhere I can.

i walk to and from school every morning and take public transport

i keep my laptop on power saver mode when i'm using it and turn it off when i'm not. i turn all my lights off whenever i leave a room and turn off my phone charger when my phone is charged.

i constantly annoy my friends about how unenvironmentally friendly they are and turn off taps if they drip.

never use a.c (although i do live in the UK) and turn the heater really low if i can and wrap up warm in winter.
