You know what they say: Friends are God's way of apologizing for family.

Just stick to the sidelines and refuse to take part in whatever dramafest is going on. They might get b*tchy about your lack of "support", but your mental well-being will really benefit in the long run.

Tell them to f__k off. I moved out of my house when I was 15, and lived with friends until my boyfriend turned 18 and we got our own apartment.

my family is the same, it is very stressful especially when it not your scene and it stresses you out. i know it is hard to get away, after all they are family. But you have to make yourself, keep yourself so busy they cant get ahold of you or tell them your busy...just distance yourself as much as possible.

Let them know they waste their energy on stupid stuff and you will not allow yourself to get all caught up in it. When they see you are at peace with yourself and others they may want that for themselves.

Tell them you don't like being mean, but they need to start being mature, and tell them to stop. If you really don't wanna do that, then you should just try to see them as least as possible

spend more time alone, getting to know yourself better, pampering yourself so youre in a good mood to deal with your family's drama

Source(s): personal experience, you should see the things that go on in MY house
