What cut of beef would be best?

I have a recipe for beef stroganoff that calls for round tip beef. I am unable to find that so I am wondering if anyone knows of another cut that would work in my recipe.

Round Tip Beef comes from the Round section of the Stock, witch is a little bit tougher meat. But being cut into smaller pieces or pounded makes it more tender. Here is a website that will give you many selections that will work well. Hope you enjoy your meal.

Top round beef is the same. That's a lean cut.

    Sirloin steak works well.

Just remember to cut thin. To make that easier freeze the meat for about 15 minutes first. Makes cutting very easy.

You just need lean beef. Buy a round steak or a rump stake and cut it to suit.

I use round steaks. I wait until they go on sale, and grab about 10 pounds. This will yield about 4 pounds of jerky. Flank steak will work, too.

beef tenderloin, boneless round steak, sirloin steak cut into 1inch strips will all work well. [they are all essentially the same, it's just they are different parts or are butchered differently]

Flank is always yummy (and cheap) but just make sure you don't overcook and slice it super thin AGAINST the grain. This ensures a super juicy, non-chewy piece of meat.

Either top round or bottom round would work.

flank steak or London broil, skirt steak, round steak(cube steak) that has been tenderized, Sirlion steak or even ground sirloin(burger)
