Your cat obviously loves you enough to keep on bringing you gifts man so consider yourself honoured. Just thank her and when she's not looking, dispose of the body. She'd probably like to think you eat them so keep it a secret that you don't lol

That's totally nomal and it says that your cat really loves you. I have been gifted in like manner too.

Tell your kitty "You are a Great Hunter!" (its true!!) "And I love you -- But it makes me sad to see a dead animal -- if you really have to kill it, please take it somewhere else."

You may need to say this to her a few times. Or you can just ignore her when she brings you a dead something.

You could also try keeping her indoors or inside a catproofed (fenced so she can't go out and mean humans or dogs cannot come in) area in your back yard so her hunting range is made alot smaller.

That is normal behaviour. She's proudly showing you what she can do without opening a tin. In safe areas cats will always be following their instincts and hunting. My cat is doing a great job bringing home dead mice. Just get rid of them when your cat is bored. You'll soon get more.

Your cat is just showing that they love you by bring you gifts and she is proud of them she is showing off by saying look at me aren't I good.

But don't let her eat them as you never know if the animal/s have been poisoned in some ways.

Just give her praise and give her a toy to take her mind of the prey then get rid of the dead animal.

The cat just thinks its a gift the cat thinks she has done well so you shouldn't tell her off, its nature. Also you shouldn't eat it, it could have a disease or something.

Lol, yeah it's a gift :) Just throw the dead animal outside when she's gone away. My friend woke up to a dead squirrel behind her fridge once. :D

if you were a responsible cat owner you would keep your cat inside where she would be safe happy and healthy and you wouldn't have to wake up to something dead outside your door.

You feed her, she feeds you! :) but really, she is presenting a gift! Thank her, and then get a bell for her collar. My cat did it for about 2 years straight, til we got a collar for him. He hated it! but after a while he discovered how to move without jingling, and again the presents started again. In fact I got one two days ago...poor bird.

cats bring you dead animals as a sign of love, they want to teach you how to hunt your food

however disguisting, your cat is simply trying to be sweet

    but yeah, don't eat it

  • Yeah, cats do this because they are trying to present you with a "gift", and she would like you to eat it. Cats think of humans as needing to be "taught" how to hunt because we don't hunt for our food.
