Many household medications are deadly to cats..you need an antibiotic from a vet. Once you pay the initial office visit, you can get the medication for a pretty reasonable price and get refills if necessary without the pet having to see the vet again.

If the upper respiratory goes more than 2 weeks you need antibiotics from the vet. That will stop it cold. Why delay, the meds are $20.

I just bought some amoxicillin from vet without taking cat in and it was 8 dollars a bottle for each cat.They said they are selling a lot right now for cats.
