I think I may have torn my ACL but I'm not sure. It's been almost two months, what would be the symptoms?
My dirt bike fell while I was riding it and pulled my lower left leg out while I fell to my right. After a minute or two of shock I could limp back to my house but that night and the following day I couldn't put any weight on that leg or jostle it at all without it hurting badly. it's been about a month and a half and I can walk on it now just fine without it hurting but it's not completely stable. It's as if the healing sort of just leveled off. Twice I've strained it too much by turning on my leg quickly and I heard it pop/grind. The first time my knee gave out completely and I fell (two weeks after initial injury) and the second time it hurt for a few seconds before I was able to walk again (just a little over a month after the initial injury). After both incidents my knee became swollen for a few days and was sore but I was able to still walk. Any insights as to what I could have done would be much appreciated! :D
It did pop when I hurt it and everytime following that that I've strained it the pain occurs in the back of my knee and afterward it's the inside side of my knee that remains sore . . .

Here is a list of symptoms via yahoo health.
With an ACL injury you would have felt a pop of the knee when the injury occurred (almost 100% of the time), pain on the outside or back of the knee, swelling, and instability.
Interestingly, I have had a couple of friends with situations like yours. You hear "ACL injury" and everyone pictures people on crutches unable to put weight on the injury, but many times people can and do walk around afterwords. Both of my friends with similiar weakness, instability, pain situations like yours had ACL tears. Definitely go see a doctor for this--you don't want to make it any worse!
Good luck!

Ya that sounds like an acl tear. i'm 15 and tore mine 2 months ago. if you hear a pop you probably did even if you can walk on it. I even skied on mine for two days but you need to see a doctor and most likely have an mri done.
