Does feminism inadvertently tries to control men thinking so women don't have to worry about a man's action?

MLK said this once. "If you control the way a man thinks you don't have to worry about his action(s)". Because you already know what he's going to do before he does it. I see a similar pattern with feminism.

Update:

Nancy Drew--That's the best you can do. You have nothing else to say, then don't say nothing at all.

Update 2:

Jackal--Not really, but you still have a good point. lol

But how, how are feminist seeking to control a mans actions? What incidents have transpired recently (in your life personally) that would make you draw the conclusion that feminist are seeking to control the actions of all men world wide?

@ Samuel or any man who agrees with him: Men have always seen women as being competition next to another man. This is one of the reasons why women where banned from voting, enrolling to higher institutes of education, severing in specific duties within the military and even kept out of specific employment roles. The idea that women being the weaker sex was used an excuses for justifying women being denied enrolment in college, gainfully employed in the work force, or even voting and owning a business.

When ever a group of individuals feel threatened by another, they will incorporate laws, legislation and social guidelines to ensure the opposing group is oppressed. Thus the reasoning for the late grate MLK coining the statement mentioned. People of color (not just Blacks) where subjected to the many stipulations outlined in “Jim Crow Laws”; Segregation in America and Apartide in South Africa where incorporated. The Palestinians being pushed off holy land in Israel, Native Americans been pushed onto reservation after years of battle for their land, customs and way of life, and the Jews facing complete extermination in Europe. These laws and various legislation where all tools used by specific groups of people to keep another group of people from either being recognized as ‘human’; and/or being denied their basic human rights in accordance with the Geneva Convention and United Nations authority. Telling and treating any being that they’re of less value based on their religion, the color of their skin or sex is what brought forward certain movements such as the feminist and civil rights movement. And we still see rim nits of this mind set when assumed male users submit postings that question the worth, value and even achievements of women. In controlling the oppressed groups mentality by making them believe they’re inferior, teaching them to play a specific role in life or ensuring they lack the tools needed for progression and advancement (education, financial stability, personal freedoms and liberties as well as a positive self image) it assist the oppressors with controlling a mans (woman’s) actions.

Why do you think so many men have a problem with a woman being promoted over them, or have a problem with their wives being employed in a career field that pays more annually than themselves? If a woman does anything that exceeds the level of a male competitor, she’s accused of exchanging sexual favors in exchange for advancement; accusations of Equal Opportunity being the reason for her advancement (never mind her work, qualifications or education) or she’s a ‘cold hearted *****’ that will do what ever it takes to get what she wants. Regardless of what degrees, training, or time in service she has, her advancement is always ‘questionable’; and in most cases her name is dragged thought he mud (I’ve seen it time and time again). Men here state that we’re not as smart, strong (mentally or physically), and we lack intellect as men. Anything to degrade women, in an attempt to make us feel as though our very existences means little to nothing next to that of a man. Based on my non-bias research, Feminism is no different than any other movement that was established in the name of change. It was brought forward to change the minds of many in regards to social stipulations and restrictions placed on women; but through out its time line its mission statement, purpose and message changed as the social climate, struggles and leaders of that movement changed. It’s not different than any other ‘struggle’; you can choose to listen to it, or you can choose to ignore it. It’s really not serious enough for us to constantly debate it.

I've let go of the general idea that masculine values (work outside the home, 'be someone') are better than the feminine values (nurturing/caring) and I've been a lot happier and less stressed since. It took me a while, I felt really guilty about it at first, I struggled with it and did a lot of research on gender. People think it's such a waste that a 'clever girl like me' wouldn't want a career. That I'm throwing my life away. When in fact, I'm much happier this way. It suits me better. It IS unfortunate for women that society now expects them to frown upon homemaking and such, because I really believe that women are more susceptible to societal pressure. Women have been getting unhappier (decline of female happiness research) since the seventies. probably because of this. Simone de Beauvoir is the typical example. She said women shouldn't be allowed the choice to remain homemakers, because if they were, too many of them would choose for it. So she actually admitted to speaking only on behalf of herself and her fellow feminists, not all women. She also went to great lengths to convince women that homemaking is drudgery. When in fact, I personally find cleaning a very 'zen' like, meditative experience. So I agree with you (at least I think I do, your questions seem to imply that you have the same views as I do) and I commend you for speaking up about it. It might give other women who read it the idea that it's okay to follow their hearts. I know I used to feel like I needed people to approve of it, to allow me to do choose the traditional path...

Well dusted in shadow, Feminism is forced on boys in the public school system (in America anyway) and they can't get away from it.

It's also in Tv shows and movies and the entire media.

So many commercials where a man appears with a woman and the woman is made to look/seem smarter or stronger or more savy or cunning....Superior in some way or another.

Even if in some rare commercial (or tv show or movie) both seem rather dumb, the man is still portrayed as being a bit dumber then the woman

Politicians in general attempt to sway peoples thinking. There will always be someone thinking one step ahead of the other. The side that prevails is the one who predicts the farthest. Let us hope those with the power to change the future know what they are doing and are fighting for the best interest of everybody. My fear is we are nothing more than puppets in their quest for power and domination. ;-)

Men should be responsible for their own thinking and actions. Laws are no based on protecting men such as sexual assault laws and the men who prevent these crimes against other men women and children should be responsible for their actions and should be given consequences that show the seriousness of this crime of power.

For that to work you would have to make feminist literature and theory compulsory education. Feminism is addressed to women and not men. A man admitting that he reads feminist literature is heckled by anti-feminist of both genders. Since most men won't go near feminist text voluntarily or date a feminist (so it is said on here) it doesn't jive with me that it can control men's thoughts in order to control their actions. It would be giving any ideology too much credit for having too much power to assume that you can control one gender's behavior through a process of osmosis.

You're talking about indoctrination, and Modern Feminism depends largely on indoctrination for its success. Notice how the Feminists fume and froth at their mouths when you say *one* thing about Feminism, it's all the result of indoctrination at Feminist camps aka Women's Studies courses.

A huge chunk of the professors in colleges here in the US are liberal left-leaning Feminists. You can't expect objective lessons from these people. Sample? Students being taught that 'Gender is a Social Construct' in .... Geography lectures. Yes, that's right. Indoctrination at its best!

Yes, but there is nothing inadvertent about it, unfortunately.

Feminists perceive masculinity as inherently flawed and dangerous (all men are rapists, pigs, abusers, dogs, war mongers, etc.). Thus, they used the power of the hand that rocks the cradle and their dominance of the school system to mold boys and young men into good feminists, who rejected the evil masculinity of their fathers.

Sadly, this is backfiring big time. They have created a generation of misogynists who see women as competitors rather than allies and as sex objects rather than lovers and friends.

No, feminism seeks to end sexism. This includes persuading people that oppressing women is wrong.

Yo, That isn't the real Nancy Drew. I think it is a troll clone(for starters no picture and also look at the creation date, points and what not).

Feminism intentionally tries to change men to suit women. They tried it by feminizing education thinking they could feminize boy's(also called "the war on boy's). There starting to slowly realize they messed up big time.
