Mari roots for 8.5...

Don't get Mari wrong, Plat is awesome, the best so far... it's just that the Distortion world was so annoying T_T Seriously, Mari hated moving the rocks, took Mari about an hour to work out how to complete the puzzle...

Mari chose Piplup instead of Turtwig... Turtwig is strong in defense but weak in attack and Chimchar is strong in attack but weak in defense... Piplup is just right ^^

Ponyta... It has weak stats unless you really train hard with it...

Yeah, Shellos west is prettier... Mari doesn't recommend evolving the pokemon much... unless you want better stats... but seriously, 4x Grass damage... a shame it would probably faint against Mari's Roserade straight away...

Luxio, good choice! Make sure you keep with this Pokemon!

Psyduck... Nah, got 2 water types... put in an unusual one such as dragon (Gible - Wayward Cave) or Ralts/Kirlia (Route 218).

Your 6th pokemon... Mari suggests either Zubat or Starly for the HM Fly...

Mari has a: Gardevoir, Empoleon, Luxray, Giratina, Staraptor, Steelix... (started again last week...)

I've been playing since good 'ol blue and red. I give it an 8/10. There's not much of an improvement from past games...It's really all the same just repackaged. Capturing the same pokemon like 8 times over the series does wear on you, if you know what I mean.

I think its really fun, I just played it for the first time a few days ago and liked it a lot! I give it a 9/10.

As for your team, I think its great! I have most of the exact same pokemon! But I think you can proably get more in a higher level Im not sure though. But 9/10 for your team because we match!

Your team: Excellent!! 7/10 It's actually the exact same team I had in my platinum game at your point. O.o But, I think Psyduck won't be as useful in later games, even when it evolves. Only saying. :)

I think it deserves an 9. The new Wi-Fi Plaza ROCKS, along with the new Internet capabilities. And, needless to say, being able to catch Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina in one game is awesome too.

With your team, you've got a good balance. Always try to have one of every basic type in your team, for instance, Grass, Fire, Water, Electric, Rock/Ground, etc... That's a sure-fire way to hit your opponent with his/her Pokemon's weakness.

Pokemon Platinum is without a doubt a 10 out of 10, its thee best pokemon game ever created (in my opinion)

Bonus:

Your team is okay, I rate them a 6 out of 10, you should try evolving them though, for example: Evolve Luxio into Luxray and Shellos into Gastrodon etc.
