Palin couldn't serve one term as a governor...who still thinks she was capable of being Vice President?

Does anyone still HONESTLY believe that she's mentally and emotionally capable to be Vice President, and step in for the President at a moment's notice?

What elected term did Comrade Obama serve out? When he wasn't voting "present" in Illinois, he was running for US Senator. When he got elected to that post, he immediately began running for president.

I trust Gov. Palin a LOT more than I ever could trrust Comrade Obama.

sure. If he basically served one term as president. A 2 term president won't run for vice chairman because of the fact he ought to alter into president in an instantaneous and that must be unlawful. I doubt any president might decide for to alter into vice chairman besides. Bush (I) and Carter ought to run for president or vice chairman, yet Clinton, George W. Bush, and Obama may well be prohibited by the form.

I don't know why Governor Palin resigned. It may be as simple as an opportunity to be available to the lucrative lecture circuit and to improve book sales when her memoir is published later this year.

I'm certainly not buying into that "pass the ball" nonsense. While there is still time on the clock, a team player doesn't just walk off the court. Because she’s the team captain, it seems especially craven.

Addition: Would someone else please respond to "Kool Aid?" I don't have the strength today.

Well, it doesn't really take much smarts to be vice president. It's a figurehead job.

Also Republicans have a tradition of picking bizarre VPs. Spiro Agnew, Dan Quayle, Dick Cheney. It's almost like Republican candidates want to protect themselves from assassination by picking someone that -nobody- wants to be president.

From the very start, I thought Sarah Palin was 'Bush in a skirt'. Bush got elected twice (well . . . kind of) and the GOP thought Bush fans would -love- Palin. And obviously something clicked there because, at this point in time, Palin is the leading GOP candidate for 2012--which shows you just how much trouble the party is in. 8^<

  • Had that NUT CASE got in she would gave Crooked Dick a run for the title of Most Dangerous VP in history. Did you hear the ABSOLUTE Psycho Babble that spewed without a breath from her as she gave 8 reasons for leaving office. Truth is ,.. She is FREAKING OUT! She caught wind of the dirt that was dug up and she wanted to get out before she was forced in disgrace to leave! She touched on this during her "speech"

Republicans start bashing President Obama, the fact is he has never quit what he starts, Obama was promoted by the people. Palin just gave up and deserted her post.

Edit: Actually she is still in her first term as governor.

No. As a republican who ran from her as my party VP representative, I am happy for the people of Alaska who will soon be free of her.

I only hope it is the fear of the rumored scandals approaching and not because she thinks she has a chance as someone in national politics. I think she is a disaster as a mom, and a public servant, and I hope she retires quietly.

Alas, given her refusal to stay out of the media spotlight in spite of her "victimization and disgust" with the media, I don't think it's going to happen.
