do you get a little flustered when someone calls you just to ask "did you call me"?

Question

your phone number is unlisted, you are having a shower. someone received a call from an unlisted nbr. and immediately calls you to ask whether you are the one who called?  Is it necessary to call to check? especially if you have to dash out to answer the phone.  Do you find it irritating>

it is a case to case basis actually. if the who did that is the one i like (crush), i would be flattered.  it means that most of the time, when his phone rings, it is me that he thinks or is hoping to be on the other line. further, for the fact that he called back, it means that i am important.  

however, if the one who did that is an admirer that i don't like. i would really be pissed off. how could he think that i would call him... LOL..

yes, it's irritating because calling someone to ask if he/she called, what is that right?... but if you have an admirer, maybe that's his way to connect to you. or it was just a prank call.
