There's a cat outside crying! What to do?

We heard a cat crying very loudly outside and went to see whats wrong. He was just lying there, normal but crying. He started to run when we came by. We brought out cat food and water. He finally started to warm up to us and he ate some. Well this cat doesn't look quite normal. We're pretty sure he's a kitten, it seems obvious if you see him. But he's a bit big for a kitten and he looks funny. His head seems big and his tail looks like a wild cat. I've heard that feral cats don't cry though. He is a white color with a lot of black spots and stripes. We went inside and he is continously crying still. Now the cat is crying at our door, waiting for us. We don't know what to do. Any help? We have a cat and a dog, so we're a bit scared to bring him inside. This guy is so sweet and we just want to help him!

Take him & isolate him in a room. At least take him to a vet or shelter so they can scan him to see if he has an implanted id microchip.

Edit: Some shelters don't want an animal if it's sick or injured.

If its possible, try to catch the kitten and separate it in a bathroom or closed off room from your other animals. Do not let it come in contact with your other animals, as you have no idea if it could be sick, etc. Give him a bowl of food and some fresh water. Call your local humane society in the morning and see if they will accept him if you don't plan on keeping him (if you decide to keep him, take him to the vet as soon as you get the chance)

before u let him in, put your dog and cat in a differentpart of the house, away from the stray.

i'd bring him to a shelter. he could have a disease that could infect the other animals. They'll know what to do and give him treatment.
