Where can i take my cat for heath issues for cheap in Baton Rouge, La.?

I am in Boston, MA but I'll do my best. I did google this so far:

It is AVS, Associated Veterinary Services. It says it is low cost.

Is it a urinary tract infection for sure or is it crystals or blockage?

Be aware that if she is not peeing she is in danger and needs to get somewhere very fast. Check her box, has she peed? Have you noticed her going to the box and nothing coming out? If so it is a dire emergency.

I am not trying to scare you and I'm not being over-dramatic. A friend recently lost a wonderful cat to a urinary tract blockage.

I have the keys to his house and dropped by when he was at work to pick up some things I'd left there. I knew something was wrong with the cat right away so I called my friend to come home from work.

We got him to the vet within 1 1/2 hours of my noticing something wrong. He didn't make it. I am still heart-broken. I loved that cat.

Make sure the cat is hydrated. If you are feeding her dry food take it away. Feed her any canned she will eat with a little water mixed in. Don't make it so wet she won't eat it but add a little water.

I'm gonna try to find somewhere else for you but what I've found might be all there is. I will update my response if I find more.

I am thinking that here in Boston some of the spay/neuter clinics also have other low cost sevices like a vet on certain days - but you probably cannot wait for that.

I wonder if any of them in your area are open at all on Sun., because these volunteer-run organizations usually have lists of resources for people like you.

If you try and can't get hold of anyone though you really can't wait if your cat is not peeing. You must go somewhere asap.

I am also wondering, you said urinary tract infection - if this is so and it isn't crystals or blockage then can you call the vet's office and ask for a prescription for whatever medicine she had before?
