Why cant everyone agree that no matter who won the election?

yup, Democrat, Republican, whatever, they all have the same goal, to sucker the American people into voting for them so they can line their pockets with our money.

Come on man. You're just glossing over the whole political system making it sound like trash. Remember that politics start in the home territory. From your local government all the way up to President Obama. Many a good man and woman have gave their all to make our country a better place to live by being involved in politics and which at times working for the people can end up being nothing but a most thankless job. Another question for you is have you ever researched how many politicians in our 'free country' have been assassinated or murdered throughout its history? And remember that most crooked politicians are weeded out through the electoral system. Now, have you done your share to make it your own dream place?

on a small town scale.. I think there are actually people who truly care.. but they get burnt out fast.. Even small town politics can get incredibly ugly.

on the national scale... same thing really... Anyone who can actually get to that high of a level has to be somewhat jaded.. Those aren't positions you get to by being 100% honest.

I do think that a few slip through those cracks, and make it to the top ranks with their integrity intact... but they are becoming more and more rare (especially with the money it takes to get there).

Yup. That's why we should abolish the federal government and bring back the Articles of Confederation.

That sounds like the nice safe answer so that you don't ever have to commit to any one politician or party. This way you are smarter then everyone b/c you backed no one.

Politicians are like diapers, they should be changed often and for the same reason.

McCain would have done the same without the Muslim flavor.

McCain threw the race because we Arizonians would have killed him for this stuff.

McCain couldn't hide from his constituents that would not have allowed this from him.

There may be a couple that aren't. but for the most part you are correct.

I disagree, I've met quite a few who in my opinion weren't as a matter of fact. They do tend to have a bit of an ego though.
