Why does my cat pee on my bed?
I have two female cats. They are from the same litter, spayed, and I've had them since they were two months old. They are about 3 1/2 now. The 3 of us have been living in my apartment for a little over a year and a half.
One of the girls, Kala, started peeing on my bed between 9 and 12 months ago. It usually only happened if I left my bedroom door open while I was out. And I scoop their box everyday, which she uses often. So I know it's a marking thing. However, in the past few months she's taken it upon herself to pee on my bed while I'm sleeping in it.
Obviously, it's not fun to wake up from rolling onto it. I do miss having to have the door open so they both can come in at night and sleep with me. But having to use coin laundry in my complex is getting too expensive. And her sister never does this.
Any suggestions, or personal experience tips anyone can give me to persuade my naughty girl kitty to stop this behavior so I can have more cuddle time?
I've had my mattress thoroughly cleaned, and she's done it at my mom's house on her bed too.

I know what you're going through. I have two cats and I had a female cat who started to pee on everyone's bed in my house and on stairs and couches. At first, I thought it was a bladder problem and she just couldn't make it to the litter so I took her to the vet. The vet said that everything was normal. So then I figured that if it's not something that's physically wrong with her that's making her do this it must be mental. Since I have two cats, my vet suggested to have two litter boxes. She said that by rule of thumb you should have one litter box per cat, plus one.
Well I tried this and it actually worked! So I suggest that you add at least one more litter box to your home and see what happens. Also, you should take her to the vet to rule out any physical problems she might have.

It may have been an accident the first time round. Once there's a scent she will keep doing it, maybe it soaked in the matress and she can still smell it? Try using a lot of clean on the matress and then turn it over. They have a keen sense of smell so she can probably smell it where as you can't.
My cat had the same sort of problem. Once I made sure nothing smelt of pee he started using his box again.

this happend to my friend. her cat sprayed every where in the bathroom and and they didnt know why. her uncle was also staying in the next room for a week. anyway the reason the cat sprayed the bathroom every where was because she felt it was nessesery to mark everything so her uncle wouldnt come into it. im not quite sure why your cat is doing this but watch out maybe this could relate some how to your problem!
hope i helped!

Confront her she does it again. And grab her neck and make her smell her pee. That would teach her a lesson. You have to have a big cat litter box too.
