I had a two year old from a previous relationship when I married, but I had dreamed of that day my whole life, and of that dress, so I got the gorgeous white dress I wanted and figured anyone who didn't think I should be wearing white could go screw themselves, I deserved it! :o)

It is all about you and you should wear what you want and not worry about what others think. Only happens once so be happy. Mine was white with red trim at the top and bottom of the dress. The back was tied like a corset and the ribbon was red. Where the ribbon tied to a bow the rest was little red buttons all the way to the end of the tail. On the red part of the dress I had a white shimmery embroidery it was beautiful.

I went with the taditional white..but it really depends on your stylo.

"It is the veil that symbolizes virginity. So historically if a woman was getting married and was not a virgin then she should only wear a "Blusher Veil" (which is a half veil). But a virgin should be wearing a full veil.

The white wedding dress was actually popularized by Queen Victoria. She fell in love with a white gown and wore it to her wedding. Before that wedding dresses were acutally normally blue.

So the white wedding dress was a fad introduced by Queen Victoria and has noting to do with virginity." (see yahoo address below)

  • Mine was pretty traditional. It was diamond white. I wanted to add a sash in the wedding color on the dress, but the style of the dress didn't really allow it. I loved it anyway and I still have it!

Ivory with lots of sparkle and lace - but tight fitting.

I dislike brides wearing "different" colours personally - i just don't understand what the point is... Any other colour but white/ivory/champagne/etc, just makes it a prom dress.

The traditional colours are the most striking because how often do you wear a white dress? Never. It just isn't practical.

I did not want a huge wedding so we my hubby and i got married in court which took all of 10 minutes.:) I wore the shortest of mini's you have ever seen white with chiffon long sleeves all modest and decent when i stood up straight but absolutely disgusting when i had to walk up stairs or something. I wore white very high heels with it and a posy of flowers. If i look at the photo now it was positively indecent.:)

the graceful and glamorous look is the stylish decision. This look helps you to teach your silhouette extra effective, and makes the gown look extra captivating. As for coloration or style, it fairly is nice to contemplate matching with the season which you're transforming into married in. as an occasion, if it relatively is summer season, bypass with a mild coloration. For less warm seasons, decide for a darker coloration. undergo in innovations whilst picking your gown coloration, it has to examine the colour of the flowers, your groom, and bridesmaids. stable success!!
