Some liberals are upset with Obamas pick for Surgeon General because of her weight.?
Are these people control freaks let loose? Are they now going to pass a law that no one can be bigger than a bean pole like our Prez? She is not obese and is perfectly healthy. I say...get a life and mind your own business. We have plenty of politicians who are overweight. I am not a Obama supporter but this is another example of the loony left.
Do you recall, Obama is a smoker? We are paying his health insurance. This is all in the name of personal choice right? A woman can choose to abort a child, but we demonize a person for her size. We are suppose to be tolerant of a persons sexual preference, but oh, being overweight by someone else standards is horrible. Makes absolutely no sense. Anybody complaining about the cost of government paid abortions yet? How much is that going to cost you since some are soooo worried about the cost factor?

If you're going to have a sissy Commander in Chief and a Secretary of the Treasury, who's a tax dodger, it only makes sense to appoint an obese woman as Surgeon General.

Are you aware that as an EMPLOYEE period she pays taxes too??
Do you complain about having to pay for the healthcare of overweight, unhealthy, or pregnant military wives? Because you're pretty much insinuating that you must be skinny and healthy in order to receive govt. insurance...so why don't you boycott the military wives too?
What about the other overweight politicians? Better yet...what about the scandalous gay cheating republican politicians...I don't hear you making a peep about paying for their health insurance and salary.

Being fat is a health issue, a big one and a huge problemin the US. When you are fat it stresses every part of your body, it is about the worst possible thing you can do to yourself. so when the head Doctor in the country is fat, it just sends the wrong message. Not to mention the whole taking health advice from a fat person deal.
Would you take advice on how to quit drinking from a drunk guy?

Isn't the surgeon general the person who is suppose to give health advice (like the warnings on cigarettes)? How can someone do that if they are not in good health themselves? I do not think I could take someone's advice if I didn't believe they were fit enough to give it.
