Were people with wooden teeth during the 18th century still able to eat corn on the cob?

For example..President George Washington?

First, Washington didn't have wooden teeth. He owned no less than 8 sets of dentures, all made out of either ivory or animal teeth.

Second, people didn't eat corn on the cob, unless they were on the frontier, or had gone native.

Washington preferred his corn ground into meal, and cooked up into a mush with butter and honey. (Probably because he didn't have to chew it.)

Yes, they ate corn off the cob, roasted or boiled. GW did not really have wooden teeth; he had several sets, made of ivory and similar materials. I don't know where the wooden teeth story came from.

Despite the legend, Washington did not use wooden teeth.

It seems that it would have been difficult to eat corn on the cob with them.
