If you've ever had appendicitis, what was your first sign?

I just had a stomach ache in the middle of my belly. I thought I was just constipated and was hesitant to go to the hospital.

You would have constant pain that wouldn't go away with a bowel movement. Also, you would probably be nauseated and might run a fever too.

Cramping / stomache ache, low in the belly. Nausea.

I suffered the stomache pain for 8 hours (started as an ache got gradually worse) before going to the hospital.

At the hospital I was put on a morphine drip for pain. It was the worst pain I've ever felt in my life (and I've since gone through labor and a C-section). They did a scan (MRI?) on me to determine if it was indeed apendicitis. The scan was inconclusive. The symptoms pointed towards apendicitis so they decided to proceed with surgery, and sure enough when they put the scope in me up it was clear my appendix was inflamed. It was removed and I woke up and lived happily ever after. I probably spent 4 hrs in the hospital prior to surgery. So about 12-16 hours experiencing stomache pain before undergoing the knife.

I had lower abdominal pain. The first doctor gave me the wrong diagnosis (said that he could not find anything wrong with me and sent me home). I waited 2 more days before I went to a different doctor. In between visits I developed the pain in the middle of my stomach as well.
