Does God appear to people now days?
Its just that back in the time when the Bible was being written seemingly everyone was seeing God "appear" to them and tell them stuff. Why haven't we heard of God appearing in recent times?
Also does anybody else think that if somebody said God appeared to them now days they would be considered crazy but back then it was turned into fact?
Please don't answer in offensive ways to others or myself.
By the way to people who care I am an Atheist.
When I say fact I mean many believed it to be the whole truth. Some Christians still believe word for word today.
dimitri volpe, atheists are not deluded, deluded meaning,
delude |diˈloōd|
verb [ trans. ]
impose a misleading belief upon (someone); deceive; fool : too many theorists have deluded the public | [as adj. ] ( deluded) the poor deluded creature.
How can we deceive anybody if we do not know what the truth is? We can't prove God doesn't exist, merely that the fact shows that it is highly unlikely that he does.
I am interested in this and I did look at your website, being Atheist doesn't make you automatically closed minded. Unfortunately I haven't been converted by it.

God appears everyday to hundreds of visionaries around the globe and has done so for the last couple millenia. Some are authentic, some are a mix of things and others are just fake. Like anything, becoming familiarized with this world of apparitions is work ; one has to invest time and effort to learn how to sort it all out ; most people choose to be lazy and either accept all or reject all ; the middle ground is difficult and calls for spiritual discernment which is almost impossible for an atheist to exercise ; so in your case you would have to depend on the opinions of the people who believe in God ; who by any atheist's standards are de facto deluded ; so what are your chances of ever finding out about God's apparitions, no matter how many there are ?
Just in case you are actually interested, I'll give you one: http://www.tlig.org/en/messages/
Edit: actually, I was using the "deluded" word in reference to the way most atheists view Christians ; I guess my English is confusing ; if you can't be sure that God does not exist, that makes you an agnostic rather than an atheist ; that is the reason you still have an open mind ; let's keep it that way !

ok it relatively is the component. For me, i even have self assurance in my God. and that i've got self assurance each and every be attentive to the bible as God's be conscious. So if some being got here up and stated what you're saying i could understand that it replace right into a misleading trick. we are advised in the final days there will be somebody, the Antichrist, who will artwork miracles. And we are advised those issues so we is only not deceived. we are advised how Jesus will return and whilst. not the day and the hour yet what happenings it relatively is going to save on with. For the explicit purpose of not being deceived. and additionally if it weren't authentic God could have stated as a replace of permitting each and all the prophecies contained in the bibles pages to be fulfilled. whilst His babies confer with Him in prayer He could have already set us immediately.

Probably because hearsay isn't taken as proof anymore. Think about it. Every time god speaks to someone its always one person he takes aside and reveals himself to. Nowadays if it's not in a peer reviewed paper, shown on tv, or available on youtube, people won't believe it. Who knows god could have been spoken to these rednecks who claim god told them to go on a gun wielding rampage. Not bloody likely but today they get locked up. A few thousand years ago they may have been taken seriously.

Interestingly many Muslims are becoming Christians after having dreams about Jesus/Isa. One of my friends, who has fewer doubts than I do, once prayed that God would give me a dream about what I should do with my life and it happened that very night.
The prophet Joel foretold that this would happen (dreams and visions).
If you are interested in seeing examples of Muslims having "Christian" dreams go to You tube and type in "more than dreams Jesus"

Yes God appears to us all the time we just miss it. All creatures, plants, the simple beauty of nature. All around us. All you have to do is experience the joy in it and know that God is appearing to you. We have become a world of hurried blurrs before us. So much information screaming at us. Quiet yourself. Observe the simplicity of a single peace of amazing nature or the peace inside yourself and God will appear. This is how they saw God thousands of years ago. We just lost sight of it.

He seems to have vanished into thin air for the last 2000+ years.
Only the delusional claim to see him or those high on drugs.
I think they were high those days for much of the time with nothing much to do other than make crazy stories up.

Depends on who you ask. Me personally, I'd say he hasn't appeared for me yet...if that's possible.
