Well I've been best friends with these two guys since I was about 3 and I'm 17 now. Anyway I will call them Bob and Sam. Anyway Sam and me are going to the prom together and Bob is going to the prom with his girlfriend (who nobody really likes because she has mood-swings and isn't very nice but I've always tried to be nice to for Bob). So all my friends have been avoiding Bob a bit because of his girlfriend is really possessive and is always stuck to him and he keeps whinging to me about how nobody likes him anymore (especially Sam) and sort of trying to manipulate me to be on his side and telling me how everyone is being a ***** to his girlfriend (even though she has been awful and yells at everyone and talks about them behind their backs). The thing is with Sam is that he jokes a lot and is very sarcastic and Bob doesn't understand a joke and gets really offended. And even when I tell Bob that Sam does like him and he was just having a laugh Bob tells me he was serious.

ANYWAY we needed to organise tables for prom and you can only have 10 in a table. Bob is upset because my other friends have told him he needs to break up with his girlfriend if he wants to sit on the table. I told him I would get him on the table and talk my friends around otherwise I would go and sit on a different table with him and his girlfriend. So I tried talking to all my friends and they weren't overly happy but I told them how upset Bob was and then sorta came around. Anyway everyday about 10 times both Bob and his girlfriend keep pressuring me with "HAVE YOU SORTED THE TABLES YET??!" which really put heaps of pressure on me to get it sorted. So I tried talking to my group all together and they were like yeah ok then and then the girlfriend appears behind me and is like "Ok lets put the tables down now" and dragged me off and all my friends were glaring daggers at me like I betrayed them. Anyway later on Sam tells me is really unhappy that Bob and his girlfriend are on the table and was annoyed at me for helping them even though I asked him several times and he knew I wasn't happy about it and never said anything and he's supposed to be best friends with Bob too but won't help him.

I don't know what to do, Bob isn't grateful and hasn't thanked me for all the trouble I went to, his girlfriend has yelled angrily several of my friends, Sam isn't really talking to me and neither are any of my other friends. I'm just feeling really alone and upset because all I wanted to do was to make everyone happy and to help out my old friend and I thought the others would understand that the girlfriend will only be able to talk to people directly next to her (and she would be next to Bob and another of my friends partners who nobody gets on with) and most of the time we will be eating and dancing. Plus all my friends are friends with Bob but would still desert him because they don't get on with his girlfriend.

And to make matters worse I have about 7 assignments due next week and I can't bring myself to work because I just feel really awful and sad.

Did I do the wrong thing? And how can I fix this? What would you have done?

I'm going for my P's driving test in a week and I was wondering for those who have gone through it, what can I expect? Is it really nerve racking? How long abouts does the test last? Any random tips?

There's a charity run at my school soon and its going for 24 hours but you don't have to be on the track the full time. Anyway I was wondering is it possible to walk for the full 24 hours straight? Or how long can the average person possibly walk for? Thanks!

Hi guys :) I have a music prac soon and I have a few issues breathing through phrases because I get short of breath from my nerves!

I'm fine singing in front of people but I get really nervous playing my recorder because I've never really played in front of anyone before. Does anybody have any performance tips to assist my breathing and suppress the nerves?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks!!

I'm 16, going on 17 in march and have done my 100 hours in my logbook. I got my learner's license in April of 2009. My question- do I have to wait until a full year is up to go for my P's or can I get them with 100 hours and being 17 years of age?

Every morning when I get up my eyesight goes all black and I feel this huge pressure on my head and my legs start to give way. A friend of mine said this was because of low blood pressure? I don't fully black out but it does go black for about 10-15 seconds. It also happens when I just stand up too fast sometimes and when its really hot the corners of my vision go a bit black. Anyway my mum told me that her mum and her had the exact same problem and used to black out all the time. My questions- does this have a bad impact on my health, is it from low blood pressure, and how can I prevent it?

It seems that if you do maths and science you are automatically "smart" but if you do arts and music based subjects you are, "doing bludgy subjects that require no effort"? I'm getting so sick of people treating me as stupid because I choose to go on the english path instead of the science one. Also, the arts subjects aren't weighted as heavily as the science ones. Anybody up for a protest?

I was looking in the Australian section on Yahoo! Answers and there are so many New Zealand questions in there! First they create an earthquake to move 30cm closer to us and then they take over our section on Yahoo! Coincidence? I think not.

Actually it seems like Yahoo! Just lumps all Australian and New Zealand questions together. Its pretty weird though because we ARE different countries and all.

My favorites are Jane Eyre because it is fantastically well written and the language is so rich and the book thief which is absolutely beautiful, it had me in tears for the whole second half.

Its just that back in the time when the Bible was being written seemingly everyone was seeing God "appear" to them and tell them stuff. Why haven't we heard of God appearing in recent times?

Also does anybody else think that if somebody said God appeared to them now days they would be considered crazy but back then it was turned into fact?

I'm in high-school and pretty inept at doing my hair. I'm so sick of having a pony tail/ bun/ low pony every day! Can anybody give me some ideas? At my school we have to tie our hair up and we aren't allowed flashy hair accessories.
