Why are there so many "New Zealand" questions in the "Australia" section?

I was looking in the Australian section on Yahoo! Answers and there are so many New Zealand questions in there! First they create an earthquake to move 30cm closer to us and then they take over our section on Yahoo! Coincidence? I think not.

Actually it seems like Yahoo! Just lumps all Australian and New Zealand questions together. Its pretty weird though because we ARE different countries and all.

Update:

Rose- When I asked this question it suggested me to go in the "Australia & New Zealand" category. If I select that option my question will be shown on both the "Australian" and "New Zealand" section.

Yahoo! automatically places New Zealand questions here unless the asker chooses another option. I still don't know why any question relating to Sarah Palin seems to automatically get put here. She has nothing to do with either Australia or New Zealand.

And yes the Kiwis are getting closer all the time, another few thousand earthquakes and they'll be sitting in the middle of Sydney Harbour. :)

I think it is because both countries are part of Oceania. Most people also may think that Australia and New Zealand are the same in a way.

Because there is a bug in the catagory choosy thing. It suggests 'Australia and New Zealand' But when they click that catagory and submit it it just goes into Australia. And there is no Australia and New Zealand' Catagory either

Doesn't really make sense, because there is a New Zealand section. Is it yahoo's fault or the ignorant questioners?

    EDIT: Ignorant means not knowing

Because the majority of people on yahoo answers are just dumb & lazy.

There are seperate sections for Australia & New Zealand at the bottom of the page.

It's because they probably think NZ is a state of Australia and that sheep roam the streets like they own the place or something.

Questioners have a legitimate concern about New Zealanders' ability to read, or even converse in, English, so they ask Australians questions.

I know, it is kind of annoying. I think it has something to do with Yahoo's categorizing, but you would think they would realize we are completely different countries

Said it a million times but I'll say it again.

There is a glitch on the international YAnswers, it combines NZ and Aus, so if you post a question on NZ it ends up in the Australia category, while there is a seperate Aus category.

On the Australian YAnswers, they are seperate. It's all a glitch.

I don't know whats more annoying, those questions or these ones.
