Hi there,
What a magnificent looking kitty you have. I can totally understand why he is your "baby".He looks rather healthy to me. This said . . .
The photos that you have of him laying on his back really do point to his being a bit "chunky". LOL. He doesn't look "obese" to me, but he could lose a little weight. Overweigh can cause so many medical problems for cats, especially as they get older. Diabetes and heart conditions are the two top medical problems that can result from a cat being overweight.
Make sure you are feeding him a grainless cat food, and one that doesn't contain meat by-products. Cats are obligate carnivores and require meat protein as their main diet. Plant protein is not that healthy for them, and often is hard to digest.
You could start a simple calorie reduction by cutting some down on the meals you are giving him. Nothing drastic. But it is always a good idea to keep a kitty at their ideal weight. Make sure you are exercising him daily so that his caloric intake is being put to good use. A feather toy on a pole is an ideal interactive toy with which to get your cat active.
We have two Oriental Shorthairs that would eat their way around the world. They are 10 lbs in weight at get between 5.5 and 6 oz of food a day to maintain their optimum weight. They are both 9 years old and are neuters.
Hope this helps. I just think your cat is magnificent.

I think he looks beautiful. Just make sure you are feeding him a good quality high protein/low carbohydrate wet food. A small amount of dry is ok but it contains too many grains/fillers/cereals which cats cannot digest properly and they then become overweight and, as your cat gets a bit older, can make him prone to diabetes and/or urinary tract infections.
Do some research via the internet about suitable cat food - I use Bozita which is about 80% protein and contains no grains etc. Applaws is also very good and you can now get it in dry form which my cats love (not too much though!).

Yes he should lose some weight. I can't feel if it muscle or fat over the internet, but going by pictures, I'd say to lose about 5 lbs.
If you are free feeding him - STOP. Talk to your vet about a reduced calorie diet for a few months.

Yeah he looks a little chunky, but a lot of cats are chunky. I wouldn't worry too much unless he isn't eating properly and his activity level drops significantly.

no i don't think he is too fat i think he is a happy healthy kitty. and very cute! He looks like my brothers cat just a lot smaller than my brothers. i wouldn't worry about it too much just watch what he eats and keep him active and he will continue to be great.

i woudent worry about his weight to much, i know alot of cats bigger then he is and is very healthy, but if your worried about his weight you could always put him on a diet? which you would have to ask the vet what to do about that, but thats totally up to you, btw he looks so cute ^_^, especially his eyes on the 2nd picture looks like hes going wild =P

he looks a little overweight. What kind of food are you using? I suggest wellness, or halo. Check out the ingredientss and compare them to your current food. Remember, cats shouldd NOT eat many grains.

He looks a little over weight but its not to bad. As long as he gets enough exercise he should be fine

They need to see a vet. They are sick and there is nothing you can do for them without medical treatment by a professional. Have them seen ASAP.
