what is the meanin of dropped from rolls?

i mean what is the actual meaning i am a bit confused if someone writes dfr to me is it an insult?

    I don't know what the context of the message you got was, but generally that term would refer to being dropped from a list of members. As in "you have not paid your membership fees in the past year and you are going to be dropped from the rolls if you do not pay the fee".

    It does mean that someone is no longer eligible to do something. e.g. Voters lists are often referred to as rolls. The word "rolls" harks back to the days when "paper" was miles long and was rolled up into cylinders. The cylinders were bound with tape to stop them unwinding. Official documents were bound with "red tape," and that's where that term comes from.
