would you want Bush responsible for your health care?

What if someone like Bush was running this country and in charge of the public health care? What happens if the representatives go against the will of the people and vote for this bill? They will be voted out and some FAR right people will be voted in. Do you really want people like that managing your health care?

Update:

my current insurance company (the largest in the region) is a not for profit organization. The "big business" argument is not only false, it is old.

Not independantly weathy either.

Update 2:

Why do people have a hard time believing that the majority of this country doesn't want this plan? Why do people insist the angry mobs are "manufactured"? Sure there are some plants in the audience but the majority of the people I know are against this plan and their anger is very real.

Hey, if you're independently wealthy, and have perfect health coverage, I don't blame you for not supporting it, after all, it's only going to assist the people in this country who are throwing away large chunks of their income to pay premiums on insurance policies that will cancel them if they file too many claims, (sometimes two is too many claims). Insurance companies are "for profit" enterprises, so you give them your money, they collect interest off of your money, then when you ask them to spend your money on your health care, it's a non covered procedure or you had a sore knee in 1998 so it's a pre existing condition, or it's "experimental". They are designed not to pay. I love the "socialism" argument. Government run programs are ok for our school systems, and our fire departments, and police departments, and our National Guard, and regular military, and homeland security, and our national forests, and the FBI, and the CIA, and oh my GOD, not health care. Why do we want citizens of the United States to be healthy and have access to treatment when they need it, I mean, why are our citizens so darned important any way? Foolishness and craziness are the only reasons I can think of that someone wouldn't support health care reform.

The government does not belong in the Health, car, insurance,, banking or any other business that can and should be handled by non government agencies.

A lot of people aren't even seeing that side of it. They like it all while their guy is in power, but what happens once someone they don't agree with ends up in office? Then all of that limitless power Obama is setting a precedent for can be used by anyone coming in after him as well.

If they force this **** through, and they probably will, all Congressmen who think it's a good idea should be forced to have it. And they should be forced to deal with the same crap We the People will have to put up with. I think they will go back to the drawing board the first time they are told they'll have to wait 6 months for an MRI.
