Because they are lying douche bags who are scamming you out of your money because they really CAN"T when the lottery or see into the future to predict world threatening events to become a prophet or something like that.

Simple: The lottery is not real.
Psychics MUST be right and since they don't win anything there must not be an actual lottery.

Because they plan who wins the lottery. All winners are actually bureaucrats that give their money back to the government.
