I realize it isn't plagerism but surely this is not ethical and stinks to high-the-hell-heaven? Plus imagine how it would make YOU feel if he did this to your poem?

I think it is an interesting exercise. My thought is if you are riffing off of a good poem you make yourself look bad, and if you are riffing off a bad poem you are doing a service. I rewrite and mangle mtheory's poems on a regular basis.

They are disturbingly similar...my initial reaction was to think AC Tesla was mocking HP. And while I haven't completely rejected the possibility, Tesla doesn't strike me as the kind of person to do such a thing. Don't get me wrong, I believe he isn't much better than Iano (though AC is considerably less of a nuisance). I think you're right on the money with your suspicions. Well done, Sin.
