what are special virtues about saint peter?

Peter was once approached by a false prophet...after the man had spoken with peter for a few minutes , he told him he was the son of god...peter then invited the man to sit down...by the end of the hour long conversation, peter had meet all of this mans loyal followers.. peter ended the meeting with a smile and the following "You are not the Son of God...tell your disciples that i am the true Son of God and I am their one true master"...the man replied "Yes, I will do so"...they parted that night , never to see one another again...this was peters virtue...peter made this false prophet admit he was not the son of god---the ability to see the true son of god when few did...even most of jesus' disciples didnt see Jesus clearly...he had the ability to crush false prophets... 2nd question : there are no patron saints...these were invented by men after his and the other apostles deaths...
