Using the US mail for the shipment of any controlled substance is a federal felony.

Point of information: If you have the medical marijuana card, you are allowed to grow 12 marijuana plants AND you are allowed to possess up to 2.5 oz. That is the law in Rhode Island.

Also, in many cases, state law trumps federal law. That is why states can raise the speed limit on their sections of interstate highways, have medical or decriminalized marijuana laws, etc.

As for shipping seeds, I am not sure how this fits in. You are now dealing with international law as it arrives in the country.

Source(s): RI Medical Marijuana law is available online.

No, you can't legally do that. Nor can you legally grow it or possess it.
