Why should the line on a graph go through the origin?

i know it doesnt have to but my teacher wants me to put why it does.

    Because it looks pretty to the eyes. That and its a solution to all real numbers. Cool. Do you have an access code for a chemistry book because I need one. Im a poh student and can't afford a stinking access code. What are these crazy publishers up to????? I mean do you use the access code that comes with your book? I never do. Are u in coolage, well if you are then you know what I'm talking about, but if your not ohh.........buddy wait and see.........just wait and see..........

    If the X and Y intercepts are both zero, the line will go through the origin (0,0).

    because there has to be a complete minimum for the (x,y) values.(0,0)
