Did you know that Terrance Howard would like to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses?
The link below is to an interview on Public Radio with Terrance Howard, host of the PBS series "Independent Lens." (That is the series that aired the program "Knocking" about Jehovah's Witnesses.)
In this interview of just under 12 minutes, Mr. Howard talks about Jehovah's Witnesses, why he would like to be one, why he isn't, as well as other information. It is really quite interesting.
Would you like to hear this in his own words?

I too thought that was very nice. Even though he has not YET become one of Jehovah's Witnesses, his whole family has and it all STARTED with him. I also like the stand our young Brother took at school that first opened the eyes of Terrance to the truth.
Thank you for sharing.

Terrance Howard does sound humble, when he acknowledges he doesn't meet the requirements to run in the race as of yet.
However, it is his goal to become a Witness. It was the same way with me, I studied for years, then one day I decided to make a dedication, six months later I was baptized.
In Los Angeles, CA, I attended a District Convention around 1982-83, and a woman who was a star in Hollywood, had become on of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her show was called "Get Christi Love"
The reason she had for leaving the show, is the show promoters wanted her to be more sexy, and have immoral relationships with other characters in the show. She finished her contract out, and quit Hollywood for being one of JW's.
So, we all hope Terrance Howard can make the same steps, in Jesus footsteps.

Yes. I knew that.
Heard that interview over a year ago.
It is interesting to note that Mr. Howard humbly acknowledges what it takes to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses and that he does not yet rise to that standard. Interesting indeed.

That was very interesting!
Not to mention, a very fine witness for Jehovah as well.
I loved how candied he was with his explanation of why disfellowshiped ones are treated the way they are.
Thank you Terrance Howard and thank you Abdijah for posting this!

Yes, I have read about that before. If he really wants to, and develops a love for the truth that's stronger and gets rid of his love for the world, he will become one. I hope so. There is still time, but it's running out.
He reminds me of the rich young ruler in some ways. I hope Terrance makes the right decision. He loves the fame and glory right now.

I listened to this a few weeks ago. I don't know just what it is that keeps him from committing to something he knows is right, but there must be some block for him. Hopefully, there is time left for him to make a dedication if that's what he truly wants. If he truly wants to dedicate his life to God, nothing should stand in his way. He is the one who determines what habits he is willing to get rid of, and which ones he will keep, possibly keeping him from having a complete heart toward God.

Isn't it amazing how one little act of faithfulness, that of the young brother simply getting up and walking away, can lead to a whole family coming into the truth, a powerful witness being given by a Hollywood Oscar nominee, and years later, we ourselves marveling at the wonderful power displayed when we keep our integrity before our God? (Psalms 26:1-3)
Never doubt that any little display of integrity on our part can have similar far-reaching effects, even though we may never know it.
In these horrible last days we are all aware of the ripple effect of bad acts on society, how they spread and hurt so many innocent people. It is heartening to know that good acts have the same ripple effect, and have even more power.

Maybe one day he will become our brother.
He is certainly not opposed to the truth; interestingly, like a lot of us who came into the "truth", it was because of his curiosity and why everybody would run and hide when they [witnesses] came around with the message....
My interest was piqued at about 9 yrs old when I watched in amazement and wonder at my mom and relatives, running as if for their lives...to get away from the windows and doors so as not to be seen.....lol, I am not kidding! It was then, that I NEEDED to know what was in those book bags the witnesses carried. lol lol lol....and I'm glad that I found out!

Interesting... (Jeremiah 16:21) . . .“Therefore here I am causing them to know; at this one time I shall cause them to know my hand and my mightiness, and they will have to know that my name is Jehovah.”
Many people are now coming to an accurate knowledge of Jehovah's truth.
Look! I am standing at the door and knocking. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into his [house] and take the evening meal with him and he with me. (Revelation 3:20)
