I honestly can't think of anybody that has any momentum going on the political right. It's like they've lost all credibility.

A long time ago I said that the right wing media will kill the GOP. I think that is what is happening as we speak.

The question of a "credible" candidate really says "someone other than Ron Paul." Republicans would love to have someone Christian, a moderate and sees eye to eye on many of their social issues. That's typically the first thing they want voters to get hooked on. The second issue would be political ideological difference which they hope to balance out with a politically affluent running mate. Someone who fits this profile would have to have Gov. Sanford's reputation, but since his reputation is tarnished the other alternative would have to be Mitt Romney.

Today's hot picks are Joe Scarborough, Governor Tom Ridge, Pawlenty and Mitt Romney are all still hangin out. Palin is a no go and no one will make the same mistake to run with her on the bottom of the ticket.

If we're interested in a stable economy, a health care system that works, smaller government, bringing our troops home, removing the reason illegal immigrants come to America while welcoming immigrants who are good for the country and want to be Americans...

Rand Paul who is a physician and son of Dr. Ron Paul.

The short answer is Mitt Romney. The ultra-conservative GOP has turned off many republicans and independents as evidenced by the last presidential election. In order for the GOP to become relevant again, they will need to go more moderate, then they can take back a lot of the independent vote. However, the question is can the "Christian" GOP accept a Mormon? This will be the real test.
