The Commonwealth Fund ranks the Texas healthcare system the third worst in the nation?

I believe it. They protest because they are ignorant of the facts. There are people who really believe we have the best system in the world, despite the fact that medical studies and financial studies prove otherwise, and that we are among the worst of the western countries. I used to post tons of links showing this, but they just thumbed them down. Apparently, they don't trust MIT, Harvard, Oxford, Johns Hopkins, the Mayo Clinic, etc., but they do trust Glenn Beck. Ignorance.
They probably won't read this or will thumb it down, but I'll give it another shot.

they protest health care reform because they are told to do so by there party.
no different then the emails I get from Democrat leaning groups asking me to support it.
I do support reform simply because the preexisting condition BS that I had to deal with when my son was born 10 weeks early and all our insurance company'(s) wanted to do with the 60 some thousand in bills was to play hot potato with them for years and call my son a preexisting condition.
Republicans love to defend the unborn but they could care less once that child is born.

I love it when all of these well matured intellectuals here can speak for the people of TEXAS about our health care. Yes, I am a citizen of the State Of Texas and have pretty damn good health care. As for access all I have to do is call my doctor and make an appointment. There is some problems with hospital. That is due to the enormous number of illegals crowding our emergency rooms for free handouts. We have been handling our problems ok without any input from you folks and will continue to do so.

What is the commonwealth fund and how did they arrive at their conclusion?
MD Anderson in Houston is a world class cancer treatment and research hospital and several other Texas hospitals like Baylor are where leaders of foreign governments go.

It's called "blinders". It's easy to blame someone else when you destroy yourself. Most of the conservatives have grown up that way and believe that one day, with hard work, they will be rich and not have to worry about such things.
They truth is, most families take generations to move just a step up a the economic ladder.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it's just old-fashioned common sense.

Because you have a few that speak for everyone...so typical of republicans to say what is in it for me instead of how can this benefit those in need.
And I find it odd that Texas wants succession, yet their share of the stimulus is staggering!
