What must we do according to the bible to be saved?

The bible says to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and we will be saved,but there's more to it. We cannot just read that verse and say, I'm, going to become saved. That is not the way it works. ONLY Christ can save us. Nothing we can do on our own will accomplish salvation. Please read...John 10:7-9 and Joel 2:13. Romans 9:13-18 says, God will have mercy on whom he will. Also God is not a respect of persons,( meaning he do not discriminate. ) in 2nd chron. 19:7. God says for all to repent in Acts 17:30. So, my friend All I can tell you to do is get on your knees day and night, and pray and ask the Lord to please have mercy upon you. have mercy upon you. beg him with all your heart and mind. This will not get you saved by the way, But you are knocking at the door for mercy., and if it be God's WILL he will save you.I don't know if you are one of his elect, and you don't know either/ Maybe you are and maybe you aren't,but why take chances? This world is coming to an end on may 21,2011, for those of us who will still be around,by the grace of God. Just pray to him without ceasing. He is merciful! Read Ezekiel 36:25-29.Read John 6:27-40. Love God, love people. We can say we believe, and we can confess our faith from the lips of our mouths, but it is the love within our hearts that produces good fruits and saves us.
