I repented and was baptized in Jesus Name according to Acts 2:38,39 nearly 43 years ago. Later I was praying in church silently. It was then I heard the sound of beautiful HEVENLY BELLS. As the volume went down and I could hear the pastor asking me personally, “Do You Believe?” Then the power of God fell and I shouted, “YES!” Followed by Speaking in Tongues just like folks did in the bible. In the bible, the High Priest wore a robe with bells around its hem. When he went behind the veil into the Holy of Holies the other priests would listen for the tinkling of bells. Hearing them signified that God had accepted the sacrifice. Today Jesus is our High Priest who has already offered up His own Blood as the sacrifice for our sins. The tinkling of those bells I heard that day let me know because of the Blood,Jesus had came and forgiven me. I KNEW I had been baptised with the Holy Ghost and FIRE just like John said! Filled with Joy unspeakable and FUL

  • Do you know what is meant by this bibical saying?

"Joy unspeakable and full of glory."

Since it is joy unspeakable one would not be able to describe the experience even if you did experience it. So to qualify my question how many know what this feeling is? If so would you be kind enough to elaborate on it? :-)

  • Why do you believe in saved by grace ONLY since that is not in the bible?

I have notice over the years there has been a GREAT and HUGE REVIVIAL without REPENTANCE preached by the majority who exclude the doctrine and the fear of Lord found in the Word of GOD. Instead they preach, "We are Saved by Grace Only" thus sidestepping the NEED for REPENTANCE. It appears that what a man has to say has more validity than what the bible actually says. We are hearing right now here in the last days many things preached not found anywhere in the bible such as this doctrine of Saved by Grace ONLY and the same refuse to preach many things that are in the bible such as REPENTANCE. Truly people are being misled by irresponsible men they trust.

Hos 4:6 MY PEOPLE are destroyed for lack of knowledge.... My People? That’s you and I. We are belivers in God.

Destroyed? Why? “For the Lack of Knowledge.”

2Pe 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be FALSE TEACHERS

    (Strongs # G5572 : Propagators of erroneous Christian doctrine/teachings) ....................

AMONG YOU, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

  • “Why are so many people afraid of Spiritual Gifts?”?

Not only do they disobey Scripture in forbidding speaking in tongues but also they despise prophesying. Would it not be more in keeping with our desire to fulfill Scripture if we truly did speak in tongues and desire spiritual gifts? Who should we listen to concerning these very important bibical experiences? Those that make place and promote the use of tongues, or those that quench the Spirit and make no room for the work of the Spiritual Gifts? What is right the Scripture and the teaching of it, or a theologian that says, that is not applicable?

  • Please explain how there is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost and that be "One God"?

instead of three Gods espeacially since the bible also states: Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are CLEARLY SEEN, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead. Please don't tell us we have to take it on faith and thaat it cannot be explained when the bible says the invisiable things are clearly seen even His Godhead.

  • Does the bible mention the words Co-equal, Co-exsisting, or Co-eternal?

If not why should we teach or believe in such terms when the bible clearly says in

Pro 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

  • Father, Son, and Holy Ghost...Is Jesus in the middle of the Trinity?

If Jesus is in the middle please explain what Col 2:9 means because if I am to believe he is then this scripture seems to disprove that there is a Trinity.

  • 1. Is Jesus really in the middle of the Godhead as some teach? True or false?

    a. If so wouldn't Jesus be on the left hand of the Father rather than the right?

    b. However if Jesus is on the right hand of the father who is in the middle of the Godhead?

    c. Please also tell us how many are sitting on the Throne of God in Heaven?

    d. If Jesus is sitting on the right hand of the father wouldn't there be at lease two sitting on the throne of God.

    E. Also please tell us all which of the three....the Father or the Son or the Holy Ghost is the MIGHTY GOD and which of the three is the LORD that every knee is going to bow before?

    f. If all three then there is ...let me see if I know my arithmetic

    1 + 1 + 1 = 3 Lords....3 Almightys....3 creators....3 Gods

    g. Please tell me which one will be sitting on the throne.

No personal opinion's....PLEASE only quote only chapter and verse out of the bible or you will make your self a liar.

Reference: Pro 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

We don't want to do that do we cause, Reference

    1Ti 1:8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for LIARS, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to SOUND DOCTRINE

  • Can you tell me if there is a chapter and verse in the bible that tells us how we get our sins remitted?

Some just say by faith, others say just accept Jesus, and some say for us to confess, others say to ask a priest for absolution or to pay penitence, but what does the bible actually say.

  • 2ND PART OF QUESTION ARE YOU REALLY BORN AGAIN?

We need to rightly divide the word of truth. The gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are books about the Life of Christ. Jesus Himself always pointed to the day when He would no longer be with them and to the experience He would give them. Jesus was born under the law and died under the law. The New Testament did not come into full effect until Jesus died and His words were fulfilled. The promise came as it is described in the Book of Acts. So dispensationally speaking, Matthew through John are books written in the Old Testament. The New Testament (Covenant) was not realized until Jesus died.

The book of Acts lets us know what the Apostles preached to those who needed to be saved, what happened to those that needed to be saved, and what they were told to do, even commanded to do.

The Epistles are letters written to people who were ALREADY saved. Each one is written to a church or church leader. These teachings were based upon a common foundation. The initial experience of salvation was in the past tense for those in the epistles. To apply the teachings of the epistles to people who are just coming to Christ is failing to "rightly divide the word of truth."

The only true guide to know what we should do and preach and practice in the Church is to follow the foundation that the Church is built upon; the Apostles, The Prophets and Jesus Christ the Chief Cornerstone.

On the birthday of the Church, Peter preached that they should all repent, be baptized in Jesus Name and that they would receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost.

That day, Peter pointed the converts to three distinct steps in salvation. These three steps coincide with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Death, Burial and Resurrection are symbolized in his message.

Repentance is a death to sin, Water baptism is a burial and the Spirit baptism is a type of resurrection.

Philip went to Samaria and preached and notice what happened.

"And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city." (Acts 8:5-8)

"But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)" (Acts 8:12-16)

In Summary: They believed, were baptized and had great joy, but they did not, had not received the Holy Ghost. They sent for the Apostles to ensure they received the Holy Ghost. How did they know they had received the Holy Ghost after the Apostles laid hands on them? Lets study further.

Peter goes to Cornelius: In Acts 10 we read that a certain man, a devout man, who gave much to the poor and prayed always still had more that he needed to do. It was so important that God sent him an angel who told him to send for Peter who would tell him what he "ought" to do. (Acts 10:1-6)

Peter came with other Apostles and preached Christ unto them and while he was preaching the Holy Ghost fell on Cornelius' entire household. The Apostles were amazed. Do you know why?

"And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord." (Acts 10:45-48)

So again we see the sequence of events as demonstrated in Acts 2 and Acts 8 repeated in Acts 10. A seeking of the Lord, Baptism in Jesus Name, and an obvious sign and proof of Spirit baptism demonstrated by speaking in tongues. For they knew they had received it just like the Jews had because they heard them speak in tongues.

And finally, as if that was not enough, we have another interesting story that teaches this same principle. "In the mouth of two or three witnesses let every word be established."

In Acts 19, Paul meets certain disciples of John. He asks them a question, "Have you received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?" They answer, "What Holy Ghost, we have never heard of it." Paul goes further and finds that they have not been baptized using the New Testament plan of Baptism, and so they were all re-baptized (as was every other convert at that time,) "in the name of the Lord Jesus" and then Paul laid hands on them and the Holy Ghost came on them and they spoke with tongues and pr

  • What does the Bible actually say we must do to be saved?

Since there are a lot of folks making the following statements teaching them as Gospel and the way to be saved..

Where and what does the bible say about these statements?

Just believe.....What then about repentance? Can we be saved without repentance? The what else must we do to be saved?

    Say the "sinners prayer"

"Accept Jesus as your personal savior." Does the bible atually say that? Chapter and verse please. It's not in the bible.

Since God's love is unconditional you don't have to do anything. Please show us in the bible where it says God's Love is Unconditional? It's not there.

Some say, "It's what in your heart that counts." Sounds good but does the bible say that? No

Some say, "Repentance is a work so you don't have to repent." See if you can find that in the bible.

Some say, "Just be a good person. " What does the bible actually say we must do to be saved?

It amazes me folks say they are Christains but form and accept many opinions/teachings ignoring majority of scripture that qualifies Salvation.

Luk 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD of God.

If we are to live by every word of God how is it we can live or be saved by things not found written in the bible or by one scripture taken out of context?

The bible warns: Pro 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and ALL LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

If we change the Word of God which is TRUTH and twist or bend it in order to discount it to fit or suit our fancy are we not liars?

Or if we throw much of it over our shoulders ignoring the majority of its passages while accepting only a few to suit our purpose do we lie to fool ourselfs.

Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

So again I will ask one last time.....What does the Bible actually say we must do to be saved?
