How do I talk to him?

First, just figure out his daily schedule. Where does he go? What classes is he in? Where does he eat at lunch?

Second, just go and try to bump into him, like "accidentally" bump into him at lunch, wait for him to say something, and then crack a joke. "Oh, sorry, I'm such a klutz" (but do a better joke than that, I suck at making them.)

Third, SMILE, introduce yourself, and see if he says anything.

Fourth, get to know him.

Well since he's new he may not have that many friends at your school yet, so go up to him with some of your friends - not too many so he doesn't feel uncomfortable by everyone crowding him - and just say hi and ask him about his old school and why he moved and stuff like that also ask him what hes into so that can also help be a conversation starter for next time. Bringing your friends with you is always a good thing because then there's more of you making a conversation. but don't just talk to your friends include him in the conversation and make sure YOU talk to him as well done let your friends do it all!!

I was like u at first. all you have to do is talk to him like u would anybody else. talk to him like u would talk to a friend, i mean all your trying to do right now is get to know him. treat him like a friend. once he gets comfortable around you, conversation will come a lot easier. so, just start by introducing yourself and ask him what his name is. hope i helped.
