Parents who have kids that have December Birthdays?

Do you find it difficult when to celebrate your child's birthday so close to Christmas? My daughter Peyton's birthday is on December 10, and on her birthday we celebrate with a cake a a couple of small gifts. At Christmas we want to give her more, but sometimes it's difficult to determine what to give as a birthday gift, or a Christmas gift. Just curious to know what you do.

My daughter was born Dec. 27. While it was nice getting a tax rebate, I really should have put more thought into when she'd be born. No matter when I have her birthday party (a few weeks early or a few weeks late), we always get a very low turnout because of holiday fatigue.

I also end up broke for a month because I buy Xmas and birthday presents. I too don't believe in skimping because the poor child had the misfortune of having parents who didn't look at a calander and count correctly. I've learned that I have to get on the ball early and wrap and hide presents carefully, and also coordinate with Grandma, lest the child gets almost everything on Xmas, and I have to buy even more stuff or let her get prescious little for her birthday.

Since my daughter will be 7 this year, I'm thinking of just getting 2 big presents, and maybe a MP3 player for her stocking. I was thinking a Nintendo Wii for Xmas and a cheap Acer laptop for her birthday.

My birthday is Dec 26. As my mom said "We don't skimp on anyone else's birthday, why should we on yours just because its the day after Christmas?" Its always been "this is Christmas, this is birthday." Maybe she'd want to do a 1/2 birthday, like in June? We did that one year, it was pretty cool.

I usually share a party, be it with my dad (12-28) or when we eat Christmas lunch. We used to (when I was little) have a party on my birthday but I'm 20 now so its not that big of a deal.

My daughter's birthday is December 21, my husband's is December 23, and mine is December 25. We're all 2 days apart. On each birthday we give each other the normal amount of gifts as one will get on their birthday any other day of the year. Then on Christmas, the kids get the same exact amount of presents.

My bday is the 29th of december. My parents always did the clothes and less exciting gifts on christmas and the funner ones for my birthday. Like i got clothes last year for christmas nothing big a hoodie, a few shirts, and some jeans. For my birthday i got a camera and an mp3 player. And for my birthday we did the whole "i pick the dinner i want and the cake i want type stuff."

My Uncle and Father are both December babies, and my grandfather was born Dec 27. We always have a celebration for their birthdays and give gifts just like for anyone elses birthday. We have $25.00 limit on birthday gifts in our family. At christmas, there is a $40.00 present limit. So, we celebrate just like any other birthday - cake, cards, a party and presents.

Well my daughters birthday is two weeks after Christmas so we usually just buy a bunch of presents and then take a couple out to save for her birthday. We don't neccessarily save a big one for her birthday it just kind of depends on what she's asking for that year. Also, she will get other presents at birthday parties from friends and family but not so much at Christmas from them. I am 30 weeks pregnant with another little girl do Nov 28th so it looks like I am going to be broke for a couple months no matter how I try to do it!!

My daughters birthday is December 20. She will be 2 this year. We have to decided to make sure she knows that her birthday is a special day for her, even if it is close to Christmas. With her still being pretty young, I can get away with some cheaper toys and things.

My daughter's birthday is December 17. We always try to make sure that we separate birthday from Christmas. We give the same amount of gifts at her birthday that we give to our son on his birthday. I also always make sure to wrap the birthday presents in birthday wrapping, not Christmas wrapping.

We celebrate it as a birthday - just as we would treat anyone else on thier birthday if it was in June. Husbands birthday is 23th Dec, Stepsons is 18th December, my mother 21st December, sister in law 17th December! My mother hated her birthday being so close to xmas as back in the day it would be forgotten about becuase it was so close to xmas. So i say treat the birthday as a birthday - pretend its in June and treat it the same... birthday is not christmas day - unless you called your baby Jesus! :o)

My 13yr outdated b-day is December 28...3 days AFTER Christmas & 3 days previously New twelve months! So she has had a super type of diverse day birthday events! i like to objective and shop it as on the brink of her easily birthday as I probable can! So, in ur venture, i might have it the weekend AFTER Christmas. The hub-bub of Christmas is over & (for the reason that U did not point out her age) maximum childrens do not do something "magnificent" for clean Years!
