WTF is up with Legacy constantly getting buried by HHH?

Tonight, was a prime example. 90% of the match, saw HBK making Legacy look good. Then HHH comes back down, and completely owns them. HBK was made to look weak, while HHH was made to look like the more valiant hero, who saved the day. WTF is up with this? And I noticed, that the same crap happened at Summerslam and Breaking Point. HBK makes Legacy look legit. HHH buries them. WTF? I'm not trying to bash the dude. I'm not trying to disrespect him, or his fans. But seriously, wtf is up with this? Has anybody else noticed this? Summerslam: HBK makes Legacy look good. HHH doesnt. BP: HBK is made to look weak, and he loses the fall to Legacy. HIAC: HBK is made to look weak, and he also makes Legacy look good. HHH gets in, and completely buries the hell out of them. WTF is up with this? I remember a handicapped match where it was HHH vs. Rhodes and Dibiase. And it took Dibiase and Rhodes using their finishers multiple times, to put HHH down. And then after, HHH is shown calling HBK...as if nothing happened. What the hell is up? IMO, DX did NOT put Legacy over. Shawn Michaels, put Legacy over.

Hbk is a wrestler who pushes younger talent over and generally makes them look good. Like the undertaker or even kane hbk will always make someone look good and will push a younger star before himself. HHH is to of said to really think about himself more and his title hunt then younger talent he's more of a not to let go of the younger days type. So you wont find him pushing younger talent or giving up title opportunities to them either. That's why legacy looked like crap when HHH was in the ring and when hbk was in the ring they looked like a million bucks (no pun intented)

We cannot change the old HHH so better suck it in. For the past decade HHH always put himself over HBK and if he does gets pinned, it is either Triple Treat, interferance or DQ. The Legacy on the other hand has been inconsistent to their gimmick and they should split once and for all.

  • Okay yeah HHH doesn't put much talent over but look at what he has put over he put over Cena (WM22), Benoit (WM20), he put over Legacy @ Breaking Point (great match as well) Triple H doesn't put over younger guys as much as HBK and Undertaker do but he definitely doesn't bury the guys either not like Cena did with Miz but we can blame the creative team for that

Dibiase and Rhodes (especially) have been everybody's punching bag up until just recently. Week after week after week of seeing Dibiase and Rhodes getting killed while Orton makes his escape. Dibiase and Rhodes were there TO take beatings for Orton so he can make his escape (apparently, this makes Orton look "strong" and like a "world champion". Hmph.).

For months now, this section has complained about Dibiase and Rhodes. "Legacy sucks" was all you'd see here. "Why is Legacy made to look so bad?" this section asked. I don't have an answer for that. The whole Orton-Legacy angle has been a bust from the beginning. Orton doesn't have the talent and charisma to "carry" RAW on his own, so they gave him a couple of inept "henchman" to make Orton look "good" by comparison, I suppose.

Anyway, suddenly and for no apparently logical reason, Dibiase and Rhodes "get Triple H's number" and start beating him week after week. Triple H gets frustrated at his inability to beat those two kids. So he makes a plea to his old partner, the "legendary" Heart Break Kid himself. DX is back together! Two of the wiliest, most experienced wrestlers in the game. On the same team!!

Two of the WWE's greats against a couple of kids barely past "rookie" status who've done nothing but take beatings for Randy Orton...and beat Triple H. Nobody gave Dibiase and Rhodes a chance against DX. Yet somehow they were able to beat DX in their first match. Not only did they beat DX, they made Shawn Michaels tap out!

A fluke, people thought. Michaels was "rusty" or whatever and wasn't really ready for the match. Doesn't matter, Dibiase and Rhodes won.

The rematch was DX's match. Even Orton tried to warn Dibiase and Rhodes not to take the match lightly. They scoffed at him. "We're Legacy", they said, "nobody can beat us" (or words to that effect).

So, they go into the Cell match with a pretty good game plan: separate DX and they're beatable. Hell, they beat Triple H already and made HBK tap! So they went into the Cell over-confident. They did manage to separate DX and instead of just beating HBK when they had the chance, they made the rookie mistake of hot-dogging, taunting Triple H while he stood helplessly outside the Cell. When Triple H left, they made another rookie mistake of playing with their "prey" rather than finish him off. Triple H returns, rested, and pissed off.

When he finally gets into the Cell, Dibiase and Rhodes panic, which makes them easy pickings for the rested and fired-up Triple H. Triple H was made a fool of and now he wants to get even. Dibiase and Rhodes cave and Triple H knocks them around for a bit, until Shawn gets back up and helps out. They turn the tables on Dibiase and Rhodes by using their same trick against them (a "veteran move" JR would call it). Dibiase gets locked out of the cage and DX (BOTH of them) kick Cody's butt. They finish him off quickly (no "rookie mistakes" here by the veteran DX) with Sweet Chin Music and Sledge Hammer to the head AT THE SAME TIME!

Triple H buried nobody. TRIPLE H gave those two inept "henchmen", who took beatings for Randy Orton for a living, enough credibility that the fans got interested in seeing those two against DX. Because of Triple H people are actually considering Dibiase and Rhodes a legitimate tag team now, actual threats. Until Triple H, Legacy was considered a joke by just about everybody.

Having those two "rookies" beat DX two PPVs in a row would not be believable. But Triple H (and Shawn Michaels) has made Dibiase and Rhodes. They are now considered legitimate stars in their own right, and not just punching bags for Orton's opponents.
