Should I get the H1N1 vaccine?
We are planning to start trying for a baby next month, and I was wondering if I should get the vaccine before we start trying. The nasal mist thing is the only one available right now, and it is made with a live virus. My concern is that with a live virus, if I do have a minor case of the flu, I'll spread it to my kids. What do you guys think?

I'm not sure about which vaccine is better. But I do know that pregnant women are high risk.
There was a story here the other night about a mother dieing after she gave birth due to complications from the swine flu.
So, I would get vaccinated. You could either get the nasal spray, or if the injection isn't going to take that long getting there, wait for it if you feel more comfy getting that instead.

I personally don't think u should, I myself will not be getting the h1n1 flu vaccine because there has been no testing done to see what the side effects are and how it will effect u... my grandmas friend got the h1n1 flu shot and it make her really sick... my sister n law is pregnant and she's not gnna get it bcuz she don't want it 2 hurt the baby... I am just gonna get the regular flu shot ... I had the regular 1 last yr and had no side effects... I don't wana take something that doesn't have studys done on side effects... I wuld suggest not getting 1 .

You shouldn't get the vaccine, since you are planning to have kids I am assuming that you are in pretty good health. H1N1 is just like any normal type of flu, you aren't going to die unless you are really old. And kids come into contact with a lot more germs than you do. Chances are you would get H1N1 from your kids.

You probably won't be able to get it unless you are actually pregnant. There aren't nearly enough to go around at first. Once your pg yes you should definitely get it if you can! It can take 6 months or more to get pg though so it may not be an issue for you.
