Do you think that the Republican objections to Obama winning the peace prize?
Are playing right into the Nobel committee's hands?
Do you think they deliberately voted for Obama as yet another way of showing how unpatriotic and sick Republicans are?
What do I think he did to deserve it?
Quite frankly, while I think he might have been justified in winning literature for "Dreams of my Father" I think that for the peace prize?
No, I don't think he deserves it.
But, again, I understand why they did it. It was a statement putting a thumb in the eye of people who laugh at women dying of cancer in a wheel chair.
Seriously.
Huckabee agrees with me.

Asking "What did he do to deserve this" is one thing. Automatically using it as an opportunity to bash Obama is stupid and is EXACTLY why he was given the award.

Everyone is in shock that he got this prize. Even President Obama didn't see this coming. Shock is code for "it shouldn't have happened", just like the shock of Chicago getting booted in the first round of Olympic voting.
Everyone is shocked and for good reason. What has he done? What has been accomplished? Even the folks on Saturday Night Live lampooned this fact. If I stand up in front of the UN and say the world should be nuclear free, will I get the Nobel Peace Prize? If I go around the world apologizing for America to curry favor with countries that don't like us (THAT is unpatriotic), will this get me the prize?
Monday, give your boss an eloquent speech on your desire to find ways to grow the company. Will he give you a raise on the spot for it? Apparently, the Nobel Committee will. Its another indication of how these world bodies are more interested in symbolism over substance. I bet the Nobel Committee was kicking Neville Chamberlain's name around for his appeasement policies. At least until Germany attached Poland that is.
The president made a nice speech saying, "We will hold out our hand if you unclench your fist." What have we got for it? A punch in the nose by North Korea, Iran and Russia. But that's OK. Symbolism is the only thing that matters, right?

Clearly it was a message, but I doubt if the republicans will get it.
The world watched the elections and clearly there was a stark difference between the last administration and the republican candidate compare to Obama. The world knows the dire straits of the health care situation. Oh how they must think we are a barbaric nation to turn our backs on the sick. The republicans should be ashamed.

The Taliban, Al Qaeda and the Republicans are all denouncing awarding the Nobel Peace Prize to Obama.
So they are in good company.

Iv'e been reading both conservative and liberal editorials all morning and listening to Rush right now. Most don't think Obama deserved the prize, liberal and conservative. Rush is just talking about how big of a joke the Nobel prize is. Apparently he was nominated for it a few years ago.
